You may rightly title this "Dance to the moon," but who can't feel the moon also joyfully dancing, along with the beautiful and dancing musicians who angelically sprinkle out dancing notes of such heavenly music? This is absolutely mystic and enchanting.
Yuhongmei is the goddess of Erhu. To see her fingers dancing on the strings, body moving in tone with the music, occasional glances and smiles at the Erhu as if it were her lover is so sensational. The Erhu music is 3 dimentional, up and down revolves and resonates in your listening quarter. Her talent, grace, beauty, artistry and mastery of the Erhu is unsurpassed.
I am surprised at how the dislikes outnumber the likes. How can people be so blind at how beautiful the video sounds. I may not be the brightest flower in the meadow, but I'm not the most clueless either. One of the things I'm good at however, is recognizing beauty everywhere I go. It barely took a second to recognize this as true beauty. The music is well written and the instruments sounded beyond amazing. I will never respect or understand why some people dislike art so beautiful. I do not know much about the music or the instruments, but I can easily say that this music is beautiful. Even if a song was written without words, music says so many different things and expresses many different feelings that cannot be said or sung. Your feelings can be transformed by music. This kind of music is beautiful and I'm upset that some people can't see it.
I see two traditional Chinese young lovers, harmonically sweeping over a moonlit garden, dancing with the lightness of fairies, totally synchronized... :) Beautiful.

I mean "琵琶", the 2 Chinese characters, is read as biwa in Japan. Yeah, I know you are right, they are actually 2 different instruments with the same name, biwa derives from pipa, and it reached Japan from China in 8th century.

I have to say the blunt translation of "erhu" as "Barbarian 2-string" (With the implication that we mean a two-stringed bowed fiddle" by saying "2-string") does not do this instrument justice. On another thread someone commented "One string beautiful sounds" and that does better justice to Ms. Yu Mei-Hong. Ms. Zhao Tsong offers excellent pipa--but Ms. Yu steals the show....Mathematically perfect....
