  • Bishop John Yambasu of the Sierra Leone Episcopal Area outlines his support for the Traditional Plan, one of several proposals being considered by the 2019 Special General Conference over the denomination’s stance on homosexuality.
    Yambasu spoke with UM News as part of “Seeing a Way Forward,” a video series featuring different perspectives of church leaders on the work of the Commission on a Way Forward.

    it is not a choice...........When my sister was very very young she was just different...as we got to be 6 and 7 yrs old, she'd be the Ken doll, we would play with Barbie....she'd climb trees...work on bicycles, work on cars...when she was a teenager, she even acted like a boy.......as she got older and got into her 40's, she called me and told me that she fell in love...with another woman..told me she was gay.....I told her I knew that.......it didnt surprise me one bit, as I knew she was 'different' when we were growing up.........ITS NOT A CHOICE!!! You also can't tell your heart who to fall in love with either!

      @James Kent ITS NOT A CHOICE! I'm proof of it...I knew when we were just 6 or 7 yrs old that something was different...Besides......don't judge lest ye be judged...read your bible!

      @@THKLOTTWIZ Climbing trees and working on cars has nothing to do with sexual preference. You are being very prejudiced.
