I actually found the parrot and got Doopliss' name before I listened to any crows. I think it was the parrot that made me realise you could eavesdrop on the birds. The thing that really made me stop playing was that room in Hooktail's castle where you had to jump out of a window. I think I stopped playing for months before a friend convinced me to keep playing.
while playing the remake, i totally forgot about the window jump, it surprised me. don't forget to nab the star piece hidden back there🪟

20 years? Old 👴... I saw a demo of this and wanted to play it. My GameCube controller is platinum. I think the paint is worn off on the handles.
I was unable to beat it before but I eventually got the hang of it. 1:54 You know, FOR KIDS! I think I got stuck in Twilight Town. I hate that place. 2:37 Peach is not actually in there until the end of the game.
Did you use the cricket badge to beat the dragon? That helps. When I level up I try to raise all my stats evenly. I sometimes focus more on badge power when I have an FP or HP Plus badge. If you focus on health you won't be able to use special abilities that much.
I definitely used a guide in some parts. I had a computer. My dad figured out that he could look up guides for Spyro. I can't believe I didn't think of that first.

I cheesed the Pit of a Hundred trials by trading everything for badge points and getting a bunch of badges that increased my power at low health.
pretty sure i didn't have the cricket badge equipped as a kid until many weeks passed🤷 hope you are enjoying the remake.
@@moopliss While it's not impossible to beat Hooktail without the badge it is more difficult as his defense and attack power will be higher.
