Being an 80s baby growing up with the karate kid films never in a million years would I would've thought 30yrs later this generation would be rewriting history calling the karate kid the actual bully and I also found out the guy who made that ridiculous vid yrs back about Johnny being the actual hero,turns out he said it was purely satire but it's hilarious how people just ran with it like he was serious

The difference between two different dojos or churches sharing the same space with Johnny and Daniel’s situation it’s two Dojos specifically making an alliance that was agreed upon, the crossing over of the different classes and sensei had already begun. Also Robby’s arc this season being a mentor to the new kid is a real stand out and help shows different dimensions to Robby’s character.
Liked the Daniel and Miguel moments. I feel like the show needed that. And even Sam and Johnny. But I have to say, I kinda was expecting more reservation form Sam, seeing as how Johnny bullied her dad. And I do like seeing more of Daniels backstory for Miguel. I feel like as much as some watchers wanna hate on Daniel for being rich, we can’t forget that Daniel earned his money. He didn’t inherited his money, marry into it, or win the lottery. Daniel worked for the life that he and his family has now.

I don't think it was about ego for Johnny. Daniel played mentor to Johnny's bio son already, and of course thinks he's better than Johnny. Miguel is the one kid who Johnny feels he's got in his corner and like a son to him, but he's not his bio son so there's an understandable and justifiable insecurity there of losing Miguel to Daniel. There is no risk of this happening the other way. Though Sam could like Johnny better as a teacher, she has a very strong relationship with her dad so Daniel's never going to lose her to Johnny

If you've ever popped a balloon, you should know what kind of damage a sharp poke will do when it's filled and every inch of it is under pressure from something inside, be it gas or liquid, vs when it's not. Miguel acting again as a plot device for Johnny and Robby. Robby saw the hug in S1 and misinterpreted the situation. Now, in S4 Johnny got the same feeling and both can understand each other in the future (hopefully). I mean, Miguel getting a headband for catching a fish after one day in MiyagiDo is one of the dumpest sh** the show has done.
With the ending, think of it like this... Would it be OK if Naruto wore a headband of another village? Even during the great Ninja war, they created a neutral headband. In Karate a specific uniform or symbol is like assigning your loyalty and affiliation, while a Sensei is more than a teacher, but a mentor in life and to some it's like a father figure. Now in the context of the show it may not be as deep as that in ALL respects. But to Johnny, they are switching students with respect to each other, but not as "Everyone is both their students". Plus to Johnny Miguel is like a son in which they picked each other. Being his sensei is like being a father from his perspective, so from his view its like Miguel accepting Daniel as his father figure as well. Or think of this, remember how important it was to Johnny to hand his headband to Miguel, Johnny kept this headband through his whole life as his prized possession. It was a symbol of their connection and bond, where as taking Daniels headband makes Johnny feel as if hes being replaced. Like how Daniel replaced Johnny once before with Robby.

Its still Daniels Symbol though, which was passed down from his own master Mr. Miyagi. Which is worse, since a Dojo Logo can represent a group, but the Hadband symbol is personal from Sensei to a specific student.

You know how heated my coach would have been if another team's coach put their Logo sticker on the side of our helmets? Johnny from the very first episode of the season states they are working side by side , and working together. But never combined their Dojos into one. Two Dojo, Two schools, sharing experience. You don't go to a student of another master and put your dojos "swag" or logo on them. Also, as an athlete you don't wear other sponsor's gear. There's honestly lots of real world examples that can be used of why what Daniel did is wrong. Granted, it still isn't a big deal in the grand scheme of things.
A lot of people hate on Sam without ever giving her credit. She could have seriously hurt Tory in s3 ep10. She had her disarmed and pinned to the wall. Then her friends come in. Tory had to realize she was in serious trouble, yet she was allowed to keep running her mouth and just walk away. She deserved to get her azz beat, but Sam was the bigger person AGAIN and used her karate for defense only. Mr. Miyagi would have been proud. Tory will never admit it, but she knows anyone else would have whooped her and had her locked up.
Anthony is definitely a bully, but there are levels to it...Anthony is Gwi-nam, remember him from "All of Us are Dead?" He was a terrible person, but he wasn't the big dawg...even if there wasn't a bigger bully than him, he would still be a bully. Anthony is a bully, he just would use a different form of bullying if he didn't have the crew he has. Witness the dynamics...Samantha has Johnny growing on her and his take charge nature, while Daniel is growing on Miguel and his find yourself nature. Johnny has a problem with the Johnny-Miguel because he views Miguel as the opportunity with a son that he lost out on with Robby. To Johnny, this could be Alli all over again...Daniel coming in and taking what Johnny has.
