i read somewhere (pretty sure it was in a backstory) that after this execution taka wouldnt eat bc he was scared it had mondo butter in it. he stayed in his room constantly. Yasuhiro actually went and chopped up fruits like apples and brought it to Taka. this made me cry and i appreciate Hiro alot more. :(

Imagine finding a person you can really get close to enough to call them BROTHER (or sister). Then have to find out they made a huge mistake they can't ever take back. Then they get executed for it and you're begging, pleading, crying for mercy for your best friend but to no avail. You have to watch them endure a harsh punishment.....Good Lord that's so heartbreaking! I couldn't imagine that for my bff. He's my world outside of the real world. as much as i love mondo, i think that him killing fujisaki was beneficial to the story. the second and fourth trials are full of emotion, and they’re definitely the strongest parts of the story in my opinion.
Jesus the effort Taka's va put into this performance was incredible, I just felt the sadness and pain in his voice as he demanded a reason from Mondo and it broke my heart into a million pieces.
Poor Mondo. He never meant any real harm. He made a friend, he started to tone his temper down, and he tried to put his past behind him. His past got to him, and poor Chihiro got wrapped into his anger. Mondo didn't deserve it. Neither did Chihiro.
In case you dont understand due to the speed of the motorcycle in the cage going in circles he melted and turned into butter. It’s based of off a Japanese myth with 2 tigers who ran in circles so fast they turned into butter hence the reason there are tiger cutouts in the background.
