I enjoyed this heart touching video. I felt like a millionaire when my husband and I paid a lawn spray service for weed control/fertilizer instead of buying "weed and feed" at a store and spreading it ourselves.
For me it was the moment I realised I didn’t know what day payday was at work, because I had enough money in the bank to not need to. To be honest it kind freaked me out because I didn’t realise and it was only when workmates were talking about it.
Haha! I was just like that at my first job while still living with parents. The manager said my paycheck has been sitting in her desk for a while and she was wondering why I wasn't picking it up. I just didn't know, nor cared when the pay day was.
One thing we recently did and will do in the future: fly first class. It made the travel days way more comfortable and less stressful. (And it got us one of the items you mentioned - access to the lounge.)
@@etvow 1. FC isn't "thousands" more. At least it wasn't for us. Not even close. 2. Feeling "special" had nothing to do with why we flew FC. It had more to do with comfort and legroom (I'm 6'3"). True multi-millionaires don't care what other people think of them. You can call them "facts", but they're anything but. You're just projecting here, nothing more. Good luck to you in working on that envy problem.
One thing that makes me feel like a billionaire: unlimited text, calls, and data. Growing up with my flip phone, it was 2 cents a text and $1.99 for calls. It was 99 cents to access the internet for the day
Car services, groceries, extras when eating out, matching hangers and the baaaaaag!!! Dude I related so much with this. I did not come from much and am now fortunate enough to enjoy some of the nicer things in life and yeees! The things that make me feel the richest are small gestures that I kept in my head as a kid. Thanks for your videos Tae!
I feel rich when i bought a dishwasher ! My family doesnt have to fight on cleaning the dishes anymore. And i saved hours cleaning dishes and now i love cooking because i don't worry about the mess.
I totally agree on the hangers. In my country, you never get cheap hangers with the clothing, so as a teen I could never hang up my clothes. Now I bought like 40 hangers for my husband and I and it feels so good not having to fold the laundry every time.
I can’t remember the last time I wrote a check. Most everything in Japan is done either by cash, credit, electronic, or by using store card points. I’m not insulting you but more respect to you. I love your videos. A full night sleep, followed by a healthy breakfast and exercise in the morning is excellent fuel. I even feel more like a million dollars looking over my daily schedule and dressing the part.
Tae, a good donation maneuver you should say in another video is helping a young family member, (sibling, cousin, nephew) and help them open a Roth IRA account on their 18th birthday and/or when they have a job. Donate X amount ($100) to their account so they can see and gain interest in investing. Help them pick an index fund (S&P500) and show them with a compound interest calculator how their money will multiply over X amount of years.
Lol! TSA Pre Check!!! Yesss. Flew out of a smaller airport last year with only one security point and the regular line was RIDICULOUSLY LONG! Almost skipped like a schoolgirl walking past all that and into the pre check line :)
That's funny, I feel SO guilty using a ziploc bag, but mroe from a forever plastic and garbage mindset, I try to use hard tupperware containers that are sandwich size
Hahaha I can relate to most of them! One thing that makes me feel like a billionaire is buying Kleenex. We use to always use toilet paper to blow our nose😂. Congrats on your 200k+ well deserved 👏
Cute video idea! Also, the ads that you show are always very interesting and thought provoking, which you don't often see! I actually re-watched the ad!
So funny! Growing up I never had a ziploc bag either! Simple fold-over sandwich bags or even just plain old plastic wrap was used every day. I'm a 1%-er and do finally buy ziploc bags, but I confess they are usually the store brand (Vons/Safeway).
Interesting list , Tae , & also enjoy reading the comments , what has personal meaning to others , & why . Personally , it's having a stack of books ( purchased on sale ! ) on hand for the long , cold winter days - then after reading , donating them to our local Humane Society thrift shop . 📚🐾🐾 💙
Extra guac resonated with me. Your wife and I are in the same category. 😂 I feel rich when. I buy the elite Brita filter from Amazon. NOT the Brita-like filter but the actual Brita filter! I didn't know water tasted so good. My hangers are still mixture of one's I got from dry cleaners and 2 other types. Maybe I'll level up to your level one day, Tae.
I agree with most. Just got TSA Precheck to use next month, so will see if I feel rich then. We got passes to Disney World (all 4 parks) back when I lived in Florida. That did make us feel rich. My oldest is spoiled from it. She no longer wanted to go to Disney World at 8 years old, and still doesn't. LOL
Ziplock bags with the slidey plastic thing on the top are particularly posh. But I disagree on Airport lounges. Overstuffed cafeterias imo. I would add pet insurance. That I can care for my dog well makes me feel like a star! Great video!
If zip lock bags make you feel like a billionaire something like a stasher bag will make you feel like a trillionaire haha. Generally I'd say reusable items (besides being better for the planet) feel fancier because they're made of of sturdier better quality material than the flimsy plastic single use items. I definitely agree on the hangers. I got the slim velvet hangers that are pretty cheap but they all match and it's so satisfying!
The best thing to make you feel like a real billionaire is having enough money to pick your ideal job that makes you HAPPY! because you can afford to pick the job you want!!! Or not to work if you feel like it. If you were raised poor, every little thing makes you appreciate living better. Hot water on the tap, having a washer and dryer, Colored TV. People take these things for granted since a lot of the younger generation were born having these luxuries.
There are like so many people with my English name online that it does not really make a difference. You just have to have security in place with the institutions directly not a third party VPN.
One thing that makes me feel like a billionaire is to push a button in my car and drive my car in my attached car garage. That is an awesome feeling. Regardless where you live.
Unfortunately I hate your 'credit card' idea :( It is a wrong tip for the general people. Too much people have problems with that. But thank you for your outher ideas! :)
I think it should be “happy couple happy life”. Society these days puts man in the grinder. Men have to be content with a “cave man” area in the garage. This should stop
I know this is very subjective. Something that can make me feel like a millionaire won't give me the real feel. You see, if you read The Millionaire Next Door ( a nust read), you would unerstand that. Some people in poor countries would really laugh on some of my these things. They would lack more than zip locks and credit cards. BTW if a credit card makes you feel like a billionaire, you are already in triuble ans in need of a mindset.
Is all the single waste plastic necessary? Using a plastic bag everyday to throw away is an environmental nightmare. Remember this is the world you’re leaving your kids.

The zip lock bag story make be smile and cry at the same time ❤ so sweet and reminds me of how luck we are :)
My grandmother was around during the Great Depression, and she would reuse ziplock bags well into her 90s as she always lived with a scarcity mindset
Ziploc bags...I felt that in my soul. Never used one until my 20's. Congrats on 200k subs, Tae! Well deserved!

As a teen I fell asleep on the phone with a high school girlfriend to wake up to a $150 phone bill.

What about pots and pans? Do you put them in a dishwasher or wash by hand?
I totally agree on the hangers. In my country, you never get cheap hangers with the clothing, so as a teen I could never hang up my clothes. Now I bought like 40 hangers for my husband and I and it feels so good not having to fold the laundry every time.
Yes! All matching white hangers is a sight to behold. That is so relatable.

This made me laugh at points because I can heavily relate to the Ziploc bags and clothing hangers! Guess life ain't so bad, is it?
I would add high quality socks to the list. I feel rich wearing them compared to the ratty old ones!
I have a Great Wife, and a great Family.
I'm Rich beyond belief!
That's funny, I feel SO guilty using a ziploc bag, but mroe from a forever plastic and garbage mindset, I try to use hard tupperware containers that are sandwich size
Same here. Tupperware is just more economical and no waste.
Love the simpleness and humility of these. Keep up the good work
My three favorite channels: Tae Kim, Stock Brotha, & How Money Works. Make my week complete! 🔥 🔥 🔥

Ziplock bags and extra guac. This homey is straight up balling!
I feel like a billionaire every time I come home from camping. Hot showers and an indoor toilet are a modern miracle.
Buying all new socks every year or two
This was very entertaining and thought provoking. I would add a housekeeping service to my list.
Great comunicator and excellent content! Bravo.
The Hardcover Book is very relatable. Hated these paperbacks. 😫

Fun presentation to watch!
It's amazing that the small things in life make us feel rich.

For me, it’s the fact that I have the time to DIY a lot of things like sourdough bread, chicken stock, kombucha, etc. As they say, time is wealth.

Do you have one on one zoom meetings, or advising sessions??
Yes, he does. You can book a one on one consultation with him through his website.

One of my videos so far...and that's saying something! And I'm this close to getting an Aura account, too

I'm with you on the ziplocks. Not only do I love them, I have a two year supply so that I never run out.
I go to qdoba because they give the guac at no extra charge!
I only need one thing to make me feel like a billionaire: being delusional😂😂😂
There are like so many people with my English name online that it does not really make a difference. You just have to have security in place with the institutions directly not a third party VPN.
You can pay bills using savings account too.
It's the little things
Keeping your parents broke for ziplock, lol. As a child I was not so discerning as to care about a lot of the things mentioned from childhood,
As a kid I thought anyone with chocolates in their fridge may as well be a trillionaire. That was unheard of in my family
50 times to Disneyland? OMG, UGH.
TSA Pre Check, not just Pre!!
Having a billion dollars would make me feel like a billionaire 😮
Start investing 😊
Stasher bags do the exact same thing but won’t hurt our planet!!!!
Great content 👌 👏 👍
Tae, you are incredible! Thank you ❤ 😊
