I just realized that the Chiseled Bookshelves are theoretically the first storage block that is movable! I can just imagine to make a redstone system that I could cycle through my Enchanted books. That's a really cool thing that a lot people might have missed

2 hours of content, and we get 1 new wood type, and 2 new mobs? I feel like Legends and Dungeons need their own MC Lives to help streamline things.
EDIT: a lot of people seem to be misunderstanding my comment. I don't mind the amount of content that was delivered, I do mind the time it took to deliver it. We could have been in and out in 30 minutes if they only spoke about the main Minecraft related things.

I think that we should have an update that modifies animations. The new animals have beautiful animation, so if new movements were given to the older animals like sheep, cows, chickens, etc… it would make Minecraft look much nicer!
@Minecraft I hope the bookshelves can have a name pop up as you hover over each book to see what one to take out.
If you've ever been lost in a library you'll know the pain of trying to find the right one in a sea of books.

For me, Book and Quill are essential in-game bookkeeping items. I'm so glad to see a bookshelf that is immersive, convenient, and helpful finally make it in. No more need for Charm bookcases or funky-looking barrels in between clusters of cosmetic bookshelves and looms.

Thanks for all you do for us I really love the sniffer I can't wait for 1.20
chieseled bookshelves seem like such a small thing at first but they will be actually awesome for bases. They could help sorting enchanted books (which is a bit difficult in chests as they all look the same) while serving as decoration at the same time. I think blocks that are useful and decorative are my favorite, like the barrel (looks much better than a chest in some occasions and can be opened sideways), the job site blocks, the bell, campfires, etc
but they all look the same in the bookshelves. all of them have the same texture, it doesnt change depending on the type of book. i dont understand how it helps with sorting books

I think it's such a cool block. Reminds me of the lectern. It really needs to hold more than 6. Make it like 10 or 12, then it's actually competitive to a chest.

Worldbuilders like me who make worlds and write for them the way Agnes does have been asking for something like these shelves for ages. Back in console edition I used to exploit a bug to glitch a minecart chest inside a bookshelf to make the shelves useable. By far the most hype feature for me.
I really hope the camel can be used to transport villagers! Would make far more sense then boats on land! (Faster too)
This. I hate moving villagers especially in early game because you need rails to do it fast and conveniently

Who remembers minecraft story mode LEGENDAY and soooo nostalgic, who remembers the first part of season five and six, those were the best episodes of season 1
Here's what I hope to see in 1.20:
- lots of fixes with bugs and game performance(bc it gets worse the more things that are added)
- getting ideas from Minecraft Feedback be added that aren't too complicated
- having the past biome votes get added(savanna, desert, badlands, etc.)
- lots of parity bc we all want it

True. Heck the camel is so far that they’ve even put it in the animation at the end. That’s when you know it’s complete.
People aren't upset about only four features be revealed, at least I'm not, they're upset because they couldn't even take two seconds to let us know what the overarching theme of the update was. And before your reply with "They don't want to give it a name yet!" just know I'm not talking about the update name. I'm talking about the overarching THEME of the update. All Agnes could have said was "This update we're focusing more on interactivity or player creativity etc." Basically the common THEME of the update. But nope. We got nearly two hours of absolute garbage.

I was a little disappointed they didn't show anything major but I am very glad for the addition of the chiseled bookshelves. I've been wanting that feature, just like the lightning rod, for quite a long time.

I doubt they will update the ancient city portals much, if at all. But archeology is still possible
Bundles aren't really necessary, and that reinforced deepslate isn't a portal. But I do hope archeology is added

@@Laban6112 Have to agree with the tuff golem, it was just another "golem" variant.
Rascal seemed more interesting but i doubt that the rewards you can get are even usefull anymore when you set up your villagers. Felt like it would be an okay addition for the early game but would quickly become useless.
Sniffer was just the safest choice as it gave a "possibility" of having new plants added.

Honestly, I like this way of announcing the update more, it makes checking out snapshots actually worth it, gives a nice surprise when new things are introduced and also puts less pressure on devs

Absolutely. Its been 10 years and they STILL haven't added custom flatland worlds and Hardcore mode to Bedrock (at least for Consoles).
And i think after that, the next updates should be an update to the End and adding the Aether dimension (since they have the creator of the Aether mod under their belt).

They are doing the desert update before we voted for it, the desert has been in multiple biome votes im pretty sure. It seems kinda unfair to the other desert-like biomes
Been wanting a desert revamp for a dog's age. It's so bland that after the novelty of pyramids wore off, I stopped visiting that biome entirely.

Came here to share a thought in the hopes that it might get around to the developers, but an item that could summon a tamed horse or other saddled pet (maybe a whistle) would be really useful. Was thinking a recipe involving a name tag that would also need to be named in an anvil after crafting then could click the horse (/mount) binding it like a lodestone compass. The idea is free, maybe just a shout out to kraftyyosef if it's liked.

I had a thought while watching this that the Mob Vote could be about three themed additions that will come out in future updates eventually but the fans get to choose which comes first. That way no one is disappointed, only the anticipation lasts longer.

The voting world was awesome. Was up pretty late playing Jen's mob arena. I think it was a big hit! Parkour courses where pretty fun as well

I respect your opinion but I didn’t really like the voting world. The parkour courses were way too easy, even the one that was said to be really difficult, and there were a lot of oversights they made. You’re able to drown and die of fire damage outside of the mob arena, which I highly doubt is intended, and the mob arena itself is a mess when the mobs can literally spawn on top of you. Half the time when you fall off of the parkour course it doesn’t tp you back up like it’s supposed to either.
@@Corruptick I couldn’t experience the mob arena; With the parkour, it wouldn’t tp me when I fell off, would tp me when I didn’t fall off, it even took a while of me walking around for it to even register that I even finished the course; after that, it finally registered my vote for the mob I wanted

What's with all the hate? This is literally no worse than any other Minecraft Lives, it's just that it was overhyped, and people thought that more core game features would be announced, but would you rather get a sneak peek of a few features and get surprised by a ton more, or get to see a bunch of features only to be disappointed that only half of them make it to the actual game.
Sniffer was the clear winner in RUclips land so not surprising. Love the Bamboo. It was inspiring to hear how Agnes creates stories as she plays the game.

I remember seeing this while streaming the live on my twitch channel, I started sobbing so much, an importance of history, especially the history of minecraft and youtube.
I know how the vex is getting a revamp but I have an idea I think there should be a 5 percent chance of a basement to spawn under the pillager outpost kinda like an igloo but in the basement there would be cages with vexes in them and you could heal the vex kinda like a zombie villager and it would turn into an allay and you could get achievement for it. I just thought this would make pillager outposts more interesting but that’s my opinion.Mojang if you read this can you take this idea into thought and maybe add it

The only way the new characters don't look entirely useless is if it's the Minecraft Dungeon roster. Since the amount of skins on the marketplace is just so big.

It's sad, it really is. A company with atleast 2 thousands workers in total take a year and 2 months to make an update yet a guy who drinks milk alot can make a whole game in a week -_- its very depressing

There will be more content, they didn't announce everything.
They claim they will add more but I think they are just adding little things so they don't promise anything and therefore cannot spark controversy.
