Since I saw the question in the Chat but it wasnt answered in the video for those that are wondering: The tiered rare item system has ben confirmed to NOT affect crafting. A Tier 5 drop is only labeled as such because it drops with higher modifiers and therefore needs to be clearly shown but the item itself doesnt have any inherent properties that make it better i.e. if you start crafting on it you will get normal rolls. It just affects the modifiers it drops with.
@@Edifiel No not the prefixes. In POE2 in higher maps and with more rarity rares on the ground can be labeled as "tier 1-5" so for example "sorcerous gloves tier 5" or something. Those will have higher mods rolled on them as he explains in the video but only the ones already on the item when you identify it get this benefit. Afterwards if you add an additional mod with crafting it will not have the benefit of being restricted to higher roll ranges.
@@Edifiel it means when an item drops with better mods, it will have a higher "tier" as a drop, but if you reroll the entire item with some crafting technique, it WONT be guaranteed to be higher "tier" anymore. crafting rolls are still random, this system just allows you to identify better ground loot.

PoE2 is going to be so incredible. i already got my key/access, im so excited. PoE1 revolutionized a games possible economy. with having currency which is also usable for crafting etc, just boom. amazing. worked great PoE2 is going to have a fun based economy. not only will it have an economy like every other aRPG, based on supply/demand etc, but it will also base its economy around which mechanics so many players find fun. the way each mechanic has a very specific crafting mechanic tied to it, players who prefer that mechanic can guarantee an income supply from doing it. they won't need to feel forced about "do this tactic for xx div/hr". they can just sit back, do the mechanic they want, and reap benefits by selling for crafting. in this we'll see certain mechanics have their own supply/demand and an economy based on which mechanics people mostly find fun and play most of. im sure we'll still see people trying to hyper min/max in order to do all content in order to farm whats best, but i think majority of the game can focus on what mechanic they like most, focus their character to clear it best, and in so doing it isn't the mechanic which will determine the best div/hr farm necessarily, but the character. players will focus on what mechanic they find fun because it will be much easier to replay a mechanic you like than one you do not.

Really hoping the Goblin Troupe isn't in Poe2. Recent interview had Jonathan saying that they are aware of it to some extend but it didn't sound like he was thinking about it too much.
POE2 crafting might be simple now, they have done this on purpose I'm sure, so over time it can get more and more complex like POE1, in a decade we'll be sat here saying ah yeah POE1 crafting makes so much sense POE2 crafting complicated AF ;o
