Hunter from Cat clan is an absolute savage at this game. Super hard to crack his army, I think what make him great is his amazing cav management and impeccable micro.
You can just call the Getae "Dacia" Heir. Yes, the Getae where not the only Dacian tribe, but Rome 2 is just calling the faction by what they called themselves (as far as we know) instead of what Romans called the region. The Romans (and other ancient Empires) had a habit of doing this, you would name a region and just call all the people from it based on its name, regardless of if they were all the same people or if they were originally from there. It not just a language thing (i.e. not understanding how the other cultures differentiate themselves) it was a simplicity/not caring thing. The Dacians were probably divided by tribal or clan lines though it seems likely there were tribal confederations and alliance in Dacia as this is sort of said by later Romans. So, when Rome invades, the Dacian tribes still all considering themselves not Dacians (they don't even probably know the word "Dacia" as they don't speak Latin or Greek), but whatever their tribe or clan is, unite out of necessity to resist the Romans. This doesn't mean the Dacians consider themselves one people now just that they consider the Romans a threat that require a united force to stop. But from the Roman perspective all those people fighting us from Dacia are fighting us together, so they are all one people/closely related and we really don't really care more than that, bam call them all Dacians.
The Dacians conquered the thracian tribes North of the Danube. Getae was one of the tribes, its existence as a different tribe from the Dacians is questionable but many things from Ancient times are like that. By the time of the Dacian Wars around 101, the Dacians made themselves a pretty Kingdom dominating the northern borders of the Roman empire, being the only European Barbarian at the time to be a threat to the Romans. The dacians were already united and even had many allies from nomad and celtic tribes which they used to plunder the whole Moesia superior. THE WHOLE REGION, which never happened before.
It certainly could be interesting. Even if you just had a friend to help you make them interesting by standing in as the enemy or helping your control your own armies in battle.
hi Heir , thanks for the rome 2 uploads, despite its flaws its still my favourite in the total war series because of the historical setting. currently playing through on hard difficulty as house of Cornelia, the auxilary upkeep bonus is super broken and fun!
Yep same, if it weren't for the spaghetti lines I wouldn't have noticed. Got me back into playing the game tho. It's still as fun as ever letting AI impale elephants on my pikes.
I like them both, but this has been a fun revisit of a game that plays a ton different than Warhammer. So it feels like something new again to me in a way.
Not playing on flat maps like this is a huge issue with warhammer multiplayer. Terrain on maps just makes the matches much more random and a lot of fun units become useless.
Dude...so...look Geto-dacii were the People living in Dacia before 106 ad....so it is ok to use dacians and getae in the same situation...they are the same people...trust me...i'm romanian..i know this

He did awesome here. Hard to beat that good micro on the small engagements.

The grassy barf lands is a drug for some of us players.
Lol. Yea. It provides a solid competitive base for the battle.
Cheap skirmishers are great because you don't really care if you lose them while microing elsewhere, but the enemy can't ignore them either.
I agree
Yep. They can certainly be very valuable at a low cost.
Watching these battles makes me with Total War still had DROP IN battles. That was SUCH A GOOD FEATURE!
It certainly could be interesting. Even if you just had a friend to help you make them interesting by standing in as the enemy or helping your control your own armies in battle.

Yea Rome 2 is a good solid entry. May not have been the epic we all wanted but in the end it turned out quite nice.
So cool a new commented battles... I'll never get bored of it. Keep doing !!
Massalia told them to Getae out of there!
lol perfect!
New Year with Rome 2, and YT pushing all the older vids too!

The micro in Rome 2 games is fucking nuts lmao
Massilia is a cool faction, now I see a Massilia campaign in my future 😂
Its a pretty fun campaign to play, the beginning can be tough though with some barbarians hating you
0:53 i mean Geate is basically Dacia so you are not wrong
I don't know why, but I find these Rome 2 multiplayer battles way more amusing than the warhammer ones.

Massilia has always been a favourite of mine.
They are certainly unique
Im glad to see you to return to rome 2. Please at least do 1 a week of rome 2 from now on till the next rome or medieval game
I will be doing several Rome 2 battles each week :)
And you can say Dacians, getae are a dacian tribe !
Good cause I keep saying it by accident!
This is really a cool series
Thanks! Glad you are enjoying it.
This recent influx of Rome 2 content is awesome. But I will say that battles on grassy plains are just not as great as battles on actual maps
I like using other maps too, but the more competitive players like the fair battlefields I think.
love gatae gameplay!
They are a fun faction to play
I forgot how the sender of the replays always wins lol
Many times yes. Though We are working on some that may be more surprising!

Ai întrat mult mai mult în detalii ca mine...BV!
Awesome! Thanks for the info.
Nice
Need more warhammer multiplayer
I do want to do some more. I need to figure out how to get some time to get some battles in.
