Makes me miss my 79 sr5 sport coupe I had back in the early 90s. It was the second one on a long list of Corollas.

All i had as a teen . Getting hard to find these days . I used to buy them sitting under trees in backyards for 50 to 100 dollars. It's hard to kill that 1.6 in that model. The 1.8 fits too .

People say these things are ugly but my god I cannot disagree more. I swear people have their point of veiw tainted just because it has "Toyota" on it. Very nice.

    YES IT HAS A HEMI
We had a 78 SR5 sport coupe, ( green ) we had to upgrade after the 2nd child.
Basically screwed my self into it.
105,000 Miles, full compression, never used oil between 2000 mile changes.
Sold it to a friend, he drove it for a year, he loved it so much that he went and bought a brand new one.

    Excellent looking car.
I had a 1976 blue with the dual white stripes along the whole length of the car. It sure had a lot of pep for a 1.6 liter HEMI

Beautiful SR5!! These cars NEVER go out of style! I love the "Old School Toyotas". Great job keeping yours in mint condtion man! Leave it just like you have it, and don't do anything else to her...she looks amzing all the way around! I have an '82 Corolla SR5, show/mint condition myself. Take a look at it when you get a chance. :)
