@@nicogiraffe that would be great maybe if it wouldn't be too much of headache you could put it in pinned coment for others like me who would be interested 💜
Tracing a real life reference isn't the same as tracing someone else's art, even experienced artist trace / heavily reference pictures of real things:/
Tracing a irl reference is fine, that's how they'll learn to make their anatomy proper plus it wasn't even the lineart it was a sketch. Tracing is bad if you Trac others art, pass it off as your own without credit to the original artist
this person isnt tracing someone elses art and passing it off as something else, theyre tracing a photograph - realism is very difficult, even with a reference, so tracing when it comes to portraits of irl ppl isnt uncommon nor is it bad this is an original piece, and its a damn beautiful one at that
I'm gonna assume you're a young artist and tell you that hun, that's not how it works. This is not someone else's art, this is a real reference. And yes this is still an original piece, they still put their effort into it, in fact even their tracing was purposeful- putting lines in certain places and leaving gaps for their style.
By the way, here’s the link to the reference:

Lmao yeah no. Real photos are very different and tracing actual photos can be really good for understanding anatomy etc.
