You deserve a medal for the fantastic care you're giving those lambs! They're just adorable!!!! You must be exhausted....hope you can get some rest soon.
Such a shame that you lost a lamb, but it sounds like there was no hope for it and you gave it the best chance. The other 3 are beautiful and are a testament to your love for your animals.
The baby now thinks you are the Momma. ❤️❤️ life and death on the farm are hard. You are a blessing to all of the Momma and babies. Goggles! Cupcake melts my heart. The bigger motor Emerson blenders will make it as smooth. Thank you and blahhhh
So sorry about the little lamb. You have a tender heart Chelsea. ♥ The three little ones all calling out for you is too cute! Your soup looks delicious. You have such a talent with knowing what to mix together to make a good soup!
Thank you for sharing the update on the babies. Oh my gosh, they are so adorable!! I love their "talking" Your soup looks so yummy!! I too enjoy a thick, smooth veggie soup. Thank you for another wonderful video and for sharing the experience with the lamb you lost.
The little lamb cries remind me of bottle feeding our baby goats. They are the sweetest animals. As others have said, you take the very best care of your animals and are well versed on their care. I think of you every time that I use my Ankarsram mixer; it's wonderful. I've mixed large recipes of whole wheat bread with no problems at all. Now, I'll think of you when I use my horrible can opener. I'll be interested to see how your new one works. Thank you for all of your hard work; I appreciate every video and newsletter. Blessings. Lee
So sorry for the loss of your baby lamb. You did everything you could for him. I love watching your videos. They are always enlightening about your life and I love watching you cook for your family. ❤
Another super video. We’re glad to get to the end of the pantry challenge too! We’ve definitely saved money eating our homegrown produce and using canned products. We did make some exceptions for grandchildren and bought some fresh fruit. We wanted to empty a freezer which is not working properly and eat up the things at the back of the cupboards or freezers. We pretty much did this and will definitely do it again.
Sorry about the baby. 😢💔 Chelsea, I would LOVE to help with those babies. I’d do nights so you could sleep 👍👍. They’re adorable and….. I think cupcake THINKS you’re her Mama ♥️♥️🤗
Chelsea, I was in the middle of cooking and half watching half listening to this video But I will admit that paused what I was doing when it was time to feed cupcake. My goodness, I don't know how you get anything done around the house, I would be just cuddling her all day. She is just adorable!! 😊
Sorry for the loss of your lamb. Sounds like with your excess squash in the pantry there are muffins, cookies, & pies to be made!! Love your channel. Thank you for sharing.
HA! Little Miss Cupcake certainly has a way with “words” when it comes to putting in her meal order 😁. Takes me back in time only in my case it was kid goats. Baby goats in my kitchen was usually a result of either mama-rejection or a mama who passed away. And, as you mentioned…life on a farm contains the sad along with the happy . This lambing season has been so wonderful to be able to see (Thank you 💓)…For all of your busy, busy life & lack of sleep you look remarkably wonderful.
Oh my goodness, your best video ever!, I think I had a tear in my eye. Ok now the question is, when are you going to bring one of the baby cows inside? LOL ❤
I love listening to the babies. Brings back memories of my childhood when my dad raised sheep and of course little lambs. My question is how do you get any sleep at night. ?? LOL AND the soup looks fantastic. I have a squash left, I am going to try it. Thanks for loving your sheep so much and taking such good care of them. God's blessings.......🥰🥰🥰
I’m so sorry about the loss of one of the baby lambs. I have to say it made me laugh to hear all three at the end when you’re trying to talk. Years ago I was a classroom teacher and ended up taking care of a student’s litter of 4 kittens. They were days old and had lost their mom. My student’s mother refused to allow the kittens in the house, much less bottle feed them every 2 hours. So after school and on weekends I’d take the kittens home. And I couldn’t believe how much work it was to bottle feed them every two hours. Their little cries when hungry - OMG. Watching this video and hearing the lambs reminded me of that. And yes all the kittens grew up healthy and wonderful homes were found for all.
Hey Chelsea, I maybe have a tip for your soup! Dried spices like turneric, curry powder or ginger (and most spices honestly) need two things to « bloom » : heat, and fat! That’s why I always start by blooming my spices in butter or oil (with the onions at the very beginning usually) before adding the other veggies and the broth. This really improves their flavour, and you’ll end up requiring quite a bit less spices. When you add a lot of those spices at the very end, it often doesn’t change the flavour enough and even add a bit of a bitter note (especially the turmeric like you noticed). Curious if others have experienced the same thing!
You might check Sandi Brock on YT who raises lots of sheep. She is also in Canada. She gets a powder of colostrum that she mixes up for her lambs that need more attention. The lambs are adorable
I can relate to you with the lamb, we use to breed Kashmir goats here in NSW of Australia. We usually ended up with one or two lambs who either lost their mother or were not being cared for. They became special to us and lived their lives out with us. I make a very similar soup, I do not always put too much potato in but use garlic, curry powder and coconut milk. Here in Aus we refer to the type of squash you are using as pumpkin, i.e. Butternut Pumpkin etc. One of my favourite pumpkins is an old variety but still popular known as Queensland Blue. It is has a beautiful colour and flavour and quite dry. Beautiful for cooking with and for baking. I also love to put a sweet potato in with the mix if I have it. Keep smiling.
Hi Chelsea, I'm so glad you don't sugar coat farm life. Stuff happens, like Zinnias babe. It's life. Sad but true. That soup looked and sounded divine, I do want to make it and cheese scones to go with it, but as today in Palmerston North, NZ is 23°C at 4pm, it's not really soup weather, so will make when it's a lot colder....it's happening as we're officially in Autumn as of today......😂❤
I am a subscriber to Sandi Brock, sheepishly me, videos and she is a sheep farmer. She is awesome. i always look forward to her new videos. i don't know if you want or need information about anything sheep, but I would bet dollars to donuts that if you contacted her, she would be more than willing to answer your questions.
Hi its Sandra stebbins how are you and your family doing . I'm so sorry to hear about your lamb passing away hope the rest of your lambs are doing fine. Your baby lambs are so adorable. Hope the rest of your animals are doing good also. I will pray for all of you are doing fine. God bless you all. Have a good night. Sandra stebbins
I watch a sheep farm on RUclips, sheepishly me, and sandi shows all the births, including the good, the bad and the ugly ones…she’s very realistic about what goes on.
Awww, let the babies out❤. I had a baby goat in the house for a few months. I put diapers on her and a onesie to help keep the diaper on. She loved to cuddle with me on the couch❤. She’s out with the big goats now but would still love to come in!
What a wonderful video. The babies are so sweet! Thank you again Chelsea for sharing your life and skills. It is so appreciated and you are just amazing!😊
I’m so sorry for the loss of your precious lamb baby! I know you did the best you could! I am so happy the rest of the babies are doing great! I participated in the pantry challenge & saved so much money bc we were eating what we had instead of eating out at restaurants. I also saved bc I wasn’t going to the store for extras. It made a huge difference! I’ve learned a lot from this challenge too, since it was the first time I participated in it.
BaaaBaaaye sorry for the loss of the little one. I think a dog crate may be more the size for them or you may find them exploring your house in the middleof the night. The soup looks lovely. I love my Vitamix for creamy soups. The only thing I would do differently is add a chopped green apple. Thank you for sharing the happy and the sad part of homesteading.
You deserve a medal for the fantastic care you're giving those lambs! They're just adorable!!!! You must be exhausted....hope you can get some rest soon.
Definitely feeling tired for sure.
The sound of those sweet little lambs just makes me happy!
Awe if that wasn't the cutest feeding the little one & the noise wasn't bothersome at all. Too cute. Aren't baby animals the most adorable.
Such a shame that you lost a lamb, but it sounds like there was no hope for it and you gave it the best chance. The other 3 are beautiful and are a testament to your love for your animals.
Just love hearing the baby lambs! ❤❤❤

Old playpens are handy for baby lambs too.
Those glasses look very similar to the ones I purchased for soap making. I believe Bramble Berry carries them.

Last week I saw the Onion Goggles for sale in a gift shop called Fireworks Gallery in Bellevue, Washington State USA.

I actually love hearing their voices in thr background. 💯% would love that
That is definitely farm life. Standing over your bowl eating a biscuit while baby animals scream at you lol. 🥰
I find when opening a can , if you wind the wings of the can opener the opposite direction it sometimes opens better.
I love the lambs baaaaaing!😂😂❤❤

Too much competition from the peanut gallery! They are adorable!!!! And a lot of work. Have a double serving of soup...you sure deserve it!
Creamed Soup, Home made Biscuits, great job Lady. Thanx for sharing perfect comfort food.😃
I want to eat food by your cook
Hearing that sweet Cupcake hollering in the background as you were chopping onions made me want a little lamb so bad. ♥️🐑😊

It wasn't annoying but precious. Like having a newborn in the house. I'm so sorry you lost the other baby.
Your kitchen is looking so lovely and bright on this blustery day😊
