There are so many things which smart meter is going to solve: 1. No need to hire a person for getting monthly reading 2. Most of Department complaints can be solved remotely (power unavailability, overload Voltage etc.) 3. Electricity department staff can look for problem remotely in his/her jurisdiction without depending on third person. 4. Quality of service will be improved after all and so many other benifits with minor drawbacks.

मेरे 3kw के सिंगल फेज मीटर में 30 से 40 यूनिट महीने के बाद भी कैपेसिटर चार्ज की फाईन 200 से 250 तक हर महीने भरनी होती है जबकि सिंगल फेज में कैपेसिटर नही आता। सिंगल फेज है तो भी पावर फैक्टर कभी .6 तो कभी .8 रहता है। बिहार की बिजली विभाग खुलेआम लूट मचाए है। कंपलेन करने पर कैपेसिटर लगाने की सलाह देकर टरका देते हैं।
