This cemetery is very beautiful & the legends behind some of the statues & graves is really awesome. Thank you again for sharing your adventures with us.
My mother is from Ironton, and her family is buried there. I have spent many a Memorial Day weekend at Woodland. Thank you so much for this video, Chris. I can tell you that the legend you shared about the statue never having anything on the right cheek on the face is something we've enjoyed checking out on every visit. And every time, it is as clean as it was when you made this wonderful video.... Thank You again....
That is a very beautiful cemetery I would love to visit some like that thanks for the tag along good buddy 👍👌 I hope your father is doing better today my mom passed away exactly twenty years ago today.
Love watching your vlogs always great to listen to you telling the history so many beautiful.headstones . I can see u really enjoy doing this. Stay safe
Thankyou👍. Love to see the older headstone and monuments. You don't see them anymore. Love it when you do background info. That is a big cross. Putting that up back then could hurt somebody. Take care and be safe. Love, respect and positivity always. Neita james.👋🙂.
Always enjoy your journeys into the cemeteries in OH and KY. I was born in KY and my father's family was from OH so I feel like I am looking at the same areas where my ancestors were from. My family moved out to OK when I was a baby so I didn't grow up there. Looking forward to the next video.
Yay!! Part two. I'm only a year late but really enjoyed the beautiful cemetery and it's gorgeous tombstones and scenery. Thank you!! 😊 I'm from Bath, Ohio. 😊
Hi! This cemetery is beautiful and has very unique and interesting statues. OSA Wilson's legend of her death was something to think about. Once again great storytelling with a smooth , respectful voice . Stay safe and keep on vlogging!! Deborah ... Winnipeg, Canada.

Oh wow you did go here!! I saw your comment on my episode. So I finally did a little search on your channel. I must’ve missed this one -it was like nine months ago u were there. I think I was tuned in to your channel by then. Anyway--Very nice. This was suggested by one of my Viewers who lives there. Love it! What a crazy legend (slapped lady). 👍👍👍😀
@@Whittdocs Always Sir!!! Great Job!!! Gonna keep harassing you bout Salem, MA & New England. Happy to be an Ambassador when u make the trek up here! Happy to help with research prior to you trip!!!
alot of the tree stump headstones were "Woodsmen of the World" At a Woodman’s funeral, his tombstone would be revealed in an elaborate ritual. It would be marked with the motto “Dum Tacet Clamet” (“Though Silent, He Speaks”) and rest on a stack of logs, each log symbolizing one of the deceased’s children. and would sometimes have embellishments reflecting the Woodman’s personality
I think it was in the video of Colonel Sanders grave that you were in a cemetery that had a lot of beautiful sculpted tombstones that looked like they were artist commissioned. I'm reminded of that when I see this video.
I am from Ironton.. have lived in Chicago for the past 27 yrs.. .. Woodland isn't on the banks of the Ohio river.. it's about 1.5 miles from the river.. across Highway 52 which runs next to the Cemetery.. then a shopping center.. then South 3rd st which leads to Ironton/Coal Grove.. then the Ohio river.. you can't even see the river from the cemetery..but good video

I have a video suggestion, I’m not sure if you would want to visit but my hometown Greenfield Tn had a well known murder in the 70’s of a 8 year old girl. She is buried in the town as well
Osa Wilson, according to another cemetery man, was struck on the face by her husband. She was standing at the top of a staircase and when struck, fell back down the stairs. Her husband was mad because she was pregnant again, with her 8th child.
One of the things I enjoy most about cemeteries is the artwork. Nice finds, Whitt!
Thanks so much, Steve. Appreciate you watching.

Thats actually the left side of her face.

Isn't that the left side of Osa's face you were showing?
Yeah, you’re not the first to point that out. I must have said it backwards.
@@Whittdocs Not a big deal. Perhaps the legend is backwards. The poor gals uninjured side, that being her left, stays pure and untainted.
Very interesting
