Does Dainese's newer jackets like this one, or the D-Explorer 2 have the same zipper for joining to the pants as their older models? (I have a good pair of Dianese TravelGuard pants that I would rather not replace just because I bought a new jacket).
Hello, how is the abrasion resitance on this jacket (ok for D-stone but what about the rest of the jacket)? Im hesitating with the Speed Master D-dry with also offers direct vent zips. You say the tonale isn't really 4 seasons what about the other one?
The abrasion resistance on the lower-risk areas of the jacket is average (the exact Denier rating is not published) to help keep the jacket fitted and lightweight, with extra-tough D-Stone Fabric in the high-risk areas. Compared to the Speed Master D-Dry, the biggest differences are that the Tonale is waterproof laminated right at the shell while the Speed Master requires a liner for its waterproofing, meaning that it does not technically always offer you direct ventilation. Both can be classified as "three-season warm" as they lack any sort of substantial insulation. They would serve well as jackets if you wear your own insulated base layers, though. -DM
The vent will allow airflow to cool off, but anything waterproof will inherently be hot in the Summer. If you are looking for maximized airflow, you would want a mesh option that you could then toss WP overtop of. It does have their more touring cut and sizing. For example, I typically wear a size 54 in Dainese (44" chest) and their sport jackets fit me skin tight whereas this Tonale has a slightly more relaxed fit. Not loose by any standards, but not their sport cut/sizing either. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to our Gear Geeks at 877.792.9455 or cs@revzilla.com. It does have the pockets for Dainese's Pro Armor 2 Piece at the chest, and the Carve Master 2 is indeed a Gore-Tex Z-Liner rather than D-Dry Laminated.
Yes, it has pockets for the 2-piece Pro Armor chest armor. Also, yes, the Carve Master 2 has a Gore-Tex Z-liner. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/dainese-tonale-d-dry-jacket *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/dainese-pro-armor-chest-protector
Hi guys another question for you as I can’t find an answer anywhere! Do the pants have pockets to at least put hip protection in as an option or nothing whatsoever?
Yeah, 100% waterproof. Buying / paying for Gore-tex just increases the breathability and waterproofing even more, plus Gore's lifetime WP guarantee. Hence, the additional cost for the materials.
For me it is incomprehensible how these companies number the clothes. Often within the same company, clothes labeled with the same number do not correspond dimensionally. Quality assurance is lost.
Video misses info about pants ventilation, protection :/

No inside pockets on outer shell? How does this jacket compare to tempest?
How is the fit of those pants? Slim fit or more like a regular fit? Thanks!

Regarding the pants only, how viable would it be for Texas summer considering it has optional vents?

Would this jacket have the Dainese tourning jacket sizing? For example is the size 54 a size XL and not a L like in other non touring Dainese Jackets?

@@RevZilla Thank you Pat.
Does it have pockets for chest armor? Laminated is good I like it and I believe the carve master 2 is only a z-liner no?
