Congrats on 2500+ subscribers! Awesome that the first Kix album was included, I feel like that album is underrated. Some of my favorites from 81 and 82 are Ozzy- Diary of a Madman, Riot - Fire Down Under & Restless Breed, BÖC- Fire of Unknown Origin, Saxon - Denim and Leather, Survivor - Premonition & Eye of the Tiger, Accept - Breaker & Restless and Wild, the first two Venom albums, Michael Schenker Group- MSG & Assault Attack, Iron Maiden - Killers & The Number of the Beast, Black Sabbath - Mob Rules, GBH - City Baby Attacked By Rats, Vandenberg - S/T, Raven's first two albums.

Shit, sorry about the late response. Damn, I am shocked I never included a Survivor album--especially Vital Signs, which is a fuckin' AOR masterpiece. I haven't spent much time with the early Michael Schenker stuff, I probably need to. Damn, you always have bands in your list that are new to me... fuckin' awesome. Thanks again, Matt, you are an integral part of this channel, and your support is HUGE for me.

You both are so right, about those pre-hair metal bands. I refer to the 79-83 bands as "crossover era". They were too late to be part of the 70s scene like Kiss, Boston, Aerosmith, and too early to be Quiet Riot, Motley Crue etc. They tended to have subdued distortion on their guitar, shorter scrappier hair. So Sammy Hagar, Loverboy, Foreigner... stuff like that. Crossover Era.

As for “Big Ones”, I bought it in late 1989 and there are three new incredible tracks that were on this album alongside the previous hits. “Too Hot” was great but don’t miss out on the other two songs “Ain’t Lookin’For Love” and especially “For You” which is absolutely killer!!

Screaming for Vengeance is not really what i would call Hair metal (it is my 4th favorite priest album lol) though i can see it .Then again my favorite songs are the title track and Electric Eye and neither of which are what i consider glammy or poppy . But i generally prefer speedy maniacal priest (Painkiller, the Sentinel ,The RIpper, Sinner etch ,so the songs that far more influenced thrash). But Priest is so important to almost all metal subgenres of course they deserve to be on here .
