The E2R is out-of-phase by 180 deg to induced voltage E1. If the pattern of creating vector diagram of IM is the transformer, then you are required to adjust your E1 with respect to E2R. You can not say that E2R is in phase with E1 since the current direction is different in stator and rotor winding. Following my argument will correct your equation V1 = -E1 + I1Z1 into V1=E1+I1Z1.

Doubt : why are we considering a negative sign with E1? What is the logic/ theory here? Because with reference to equivalent ckt representating stator core, since V1 is the supply, by KVL V1= drop of stator copper losses + E1
So why in phasor representation we take - E1?

E1 is induced emf which opposes V1 as per Lena's law, so that is why we need to consider -E1.

@@savi3925 That is why you need to reflect the induced voltage E1 of the stator winding to the opposite of induced voltage in rotor winding under running condition. In essence, the E1 and sE2 are out-of-phase to each other. It is difficult to assert your argument when creating voltage equation to your stator winding with -E1 due to misused of Lenz's law.

Sahi video hai yaar. Don't get fooled by her shaky video recording skills, watch the video, you would understand the concept, for sure.
