I agree. She's one of the strongest beings in the TVDU and she gets fight scenes like this. But that's probably because she's literally stronger than everyone in her cast. In TVD and TO, there were at least people who were on even strength levels or had skills that could give them the upper hand, but with Hope, she's literally used as a plot device because of how powerful they wrote her. For example, Katherine Vs. Elena, arguably one of the fandom's favorite fights from TVD, you can clearly see the difference between that and scenes like this. If you know what I'm trying to say. :)

In Legacies, the fight scenes are so boring because the monsters take forever before attacking, and in order to balance this, the squad also takes forever to attack. Look at the mummy episode for example. The mummy is walking so slow, yet Lizzie, Josie and Hope were just standing there frozen for a while.

Dunno why it comes as a surprise. She’s being portrayed as The Tribrid from the start. She’s a loophole of nature. Thats why the witches were afraid of her even before she was born they tried to kill her because of this. She wasn’t turned by anyone but was born with vampire blood. Even when she activated her werewolf side she kept her magic. You’ve never seen a werewolf with magic before her in the entire series so it only make sense that she will still retain it as well when she becomes a vampire.
Long story short, she was born a vampire, witch and werewolf. So it all was already in her just not activated at birth. So when she died and awakened her vampire side it just all came together. Instead of her losing her connection to nature like other witches when turned… in short her werewolf side is keeping everything going not to mention she was born a tribrid not created.
I think that it because she have her werewolf side, remember that the werewolf side it the one that made Klaus able to have kids, same way with Hope and her magic, that par of her still alive, and allows her to keep her magic... It's a theory...
Hopefully this show can turn the momentum around after that terrible malavore story line and a terrible season 3. And it looks like they are gonna bring Landon back some how , it would be better for hopes story arc if Landon stayed dead. Becoming the tribrid and Sacrificing her first love should be the end of it.
i’m intrigued to see how they defeat hope without making it plot convenient. cause she literally is impossible to defeat. i want them to go a whole one above all route like marvel, like she’s breaking reality that much that the beings that created the universe have to intervene also can they stop using slow mos, it literally kills the vibe and ruins the actions scenes. one of the most frustrating things about this show
they are getting better, actually im happy to finally say that, this season is giving me some hope, tho I would still like to see more character development, deeper dive into characters and relationships, more serious as well as emotional conversations, and storylines, and I'm hoping they finally ending the whole malivore storyline, even tho I have a feeling they won't at least this whole season..

I loved tvd and the originals so much which is the reason why I'm so dissapointed with the way this show was made. 😓 Had high expectations with hopes character in the originals 😓 Still I hope they will improve her character on the show bcz shes like the only reason why the show was made.
and the only reason why I am still watching haha, I can't even believe i made it to the 4th season, nor I can still believe they made it to season 4 in all honesty. The only reason why I started watching is because I really loved tvd and to, to maybe even more than tvd, and I really liked the whole idea of legacies, I needed to know what will they do with all this characters that literary are the legacy of this shows,as hope and Saltzman twins, and im so disappointed, I just can't understand why they decided to go about this show the way that they did, they had such an amazing oper field with this characters, I myself thought of hundreds of better storylines for this show, such a shame it had a huge potential
That fact she still had her clothes on was just pathetic, they've always had to steal or walk naked werewolves, now hopes just magically grows back when she's human again.. pffftt

@@helenah6767 yeah no I see, that is literally the whole point of my post lol, there's never been anyone despite there being loads of powerful witches in the vamp diaries/originals that has been able to magically get dressed from being naked

She's not even a syphon witch like gemini twins....
She did said in the previous episode that a few witches do retain their powers even after the vamp transition
because she was born that way (witch+vampire+werewolf). witches lose their magic when turned into a vampire because they are changed from one species to another, but hope was already a combination of all three, so she wasn't changed from one species to another, and so she got to keep all 3 parts of her
there's a reason why we call her THEE TRIBRID...she's all 3
