There’s a reason Andrew doesn’t look as thick and is more aesthetic bc he has a taller frame to fill out.

For reps.... But Larry kills him on any heavy movement. He looks bigger because he's much darker.Larry is light skin so you can't see as much definition.

Hes not training to extremes for arm wrestling. Arm wrestling is more technique than it is anything else. His injuries come from heavy steroid use for years p
@@summondominion more with his insane strength, constantly going for 1rm while not focusing enough on mobility/rest periods as well. He would also be injured if he was a natty vegan hipster if he constantly trains like he did in the past, human body just isnt made for this in the long term.
Btw, nearly every top armwrestler is somewhere in pain, mostly shoulder/elbows or wrist. That shit goes hard on your tendons.

I think it’s at the point where Larry needs to choose. You can’t do powerlifting, strongman and bodybuilding. They are 3 different things. Personally, I think he should stick to powerlifting and do arm wrestling every now and then
Bro i personally agree. I think powerlifting is the way to go. I liked when he tries to break records and set new prs. It gave meaning to his pr brand and his powerlifting videos has the most views. Cause everyone wanted to see him surpass his limits

Gotta love those fat gripz! I have a pair. I mainly use them for assistance movements that help with my axle deadlift and axle press. What are your main goals with them? Forearm/arm composition?
19:29 Larry's range of motion, for the first round, was full. However, all other subsequent rounds were not full range of motion.
I think that Larry prefers training for speed and power, leveraging multiple muscle groups to explode through activities.
I don't know if this is ideal for bodybuilding. Maybe Andrew/coach/others (who are more knowledgeble) can speak on this, and/or advice him to slow down, lower weights, think about isolated muscle group when performing an activity. Mind-muscle-connection; slow, intentional, thorough, and complete movement.
Must my thought. I'm far from being even a local-gym expert; so please feel free to correct/share better insight, anyone.

As someone whos been in the industry for over a decade, i have to say that you are mostly absolutely right with your points. Thing is, larry is more of a powerlifter than a bodybuilder, hes been training for max strength most of the time - thats why he (or his body) isnt used to slow, full range movements.
In terms of muscle growth, yeah, slow reps with full ROM & a nice contraction gives you the most growth, according to science. In reality, it depends more on your individual genetics ( muscle bellies, which type distribution of fibers etc). Anyways, my comment would be too long if i explain it fully :p. Small example of my own body - my back requires heavy compounds in a low rep range to grow, like BB/DB rows, weighted pullups, heavy deadlifts etc in a 4-6 rep range,fast reps, also with a bit of cheating. My legs on the opposite react very well to high reps, mostly on LP, leg extension and other machines, going from 20-40 reps. Science would say thats far from optimal for pure growth, since the low reps recruit mostly strength fibers & high reps is more about endurance. But i tried normal "BB" Training for both muscle groups over longer periods of time, i wrote everything down in the last 10 years, and classic 8-12 reps with focus on contraction and negatives just doesnt work that well for me personally (For chest it does, but things like back, legs n arms? Not so well.)
Btw, ROM isnt always the same for everyone. It relies hardly on your mobility, for example if your hips, ankles and legs in general are not flexible enough, an ass to grass squat isnt really good for you. Same goes for the leg press. Funny thing, 90% of the regular gym bros have not enough mobility to perform both exercises in a full range of motion. Problem is that many people dont even know of their lacking mobility and force a full ROM.. And complain about pain in the future :p. Thats why stretching is so important additionally to lifting weights.
