i can’t thank Mr. Saunders enough for giving us these insights. Even more, my gratitude to him for writing this incredible, hilarious, sad, moving book. It has become one of my favorite books ever. And thanks to Service 95 for bringing it to us!

I am deeply grateful for this kind and thoughtful “troubleshooting” guide. I chose this book for a book club and my lovely wife found this video and sent it to our fellow book club members. It helped a lot of people through their initial challenges towards a much more enjoyable experience.

I loved this book. I found the writing propulsive , somewhat seductive. I'm easily distracted and abandon a lot of books but not this one. After watching this explainer I realise I barely understood half of what was going on 😀 . Brilliant book : thanks for this deconstruction !

I just finished the book a couple of days ago. A few pages in I had done a quick Google for help in making sense of the narrative, which was enough to continue reading without too great confusion. Saunders' explanation here seems to me ideal, and I feel happily inclined to reread the book right away. It's not lengthy, and the reading experience should be less bumpy this time around.

Thanks! I'm not sure I picked up the lowercase = deceased, uppercase = alive when I read the book. I wanna reread it some day so I'll rewatch this one too before that.

Anyone else getting a sort of Disco Elysium vibe?

Having read the book and finished Disco a few times you just blew my mind a little bit. There’s a deeper spiritual connection between the two than I’ve ever put together.
