  • This is the very definition of a bluebird day in the mountains. The sun is blazing and there's not a cloud in sight. The surface is firm and fast and the junior ski teams are jetting down the slopes, throwing up plumes of crystalized powder. Multiple lifts were open and you could ski onto them for the most part. Even Storm King T-bar was open, so you could make a top to bottom run. The Woodward terrain park with its tubes, boxes, rails, and jumps was open at the top of the American Eagle lift. Riders and the occasional skier were trying out their early season form on all of the features. Copper Mountain is surrounded by some of the most dramatic mountain scenery around. The snow capped Gore Range across the valley to the north and the Tenmile Range to the east make a spectacular horizon.

I love these raw, unedited, no music videos.. just the sound of the snow crushing beneath your skis. Going to Copper myself with my wife the last week of march 2024, to try and teach her how to snowboard.. wish me luck 😆

im looking at going at the very end of November this coming season. Private lessons are 1/2 the cost if you book the last day of Nov vs Dec. 1st. Do you think it will have good enough snow fall? I'm a intermediate at mainly skis blues, but on verge of doing blacks.

Hope you have a great trip. Late November/early December snow can be really good. Copper does a great job of snowmaking, so you should have some great runs for your lessons.
