This vlog was so fun to watch ✨ my family and I did PHL to HKG (through Cathay as well) and we would like to thank you for your Frozen World merch vlog! We were able to get a good idea of the stuff we could get. ☺️ As for this vlog, the travel day ones are really helpful since it gives a realistic view of what to expect when in transit.
This was such a relaxing and wholesome video. If you need feedback to determine whether to make more videos like this or not, I would say definitely go for it. The quiet atmosphere before the train ride, in the hotel and plane is such a nice contrast to the usual chatter of crowds in the shop. Plus, its extremely fun to see how traveling works in general between the countries
Please consider doing more travel vlogs, if possible! This was so relaxing to watch and your personality is awesome 😊 Editing and music were on point too.
I stayed at the Explorers Lodge during my family vacation in Hong Kong November last year, and watching this video is actually bringing back some nostalgic tears. It was one of the few vacations where my family and I didn't come with a tour group, we arranged and came by ourselves, I met with my best friend in that lobby after having not seen him in person for 6-7 years -- so many memories are flooding back
Thank you for watching! I’m trying out my new Osmo Pocket 3. It made recording easier while on the move. My other Sony camera was too big to handle while I tried to navigate trains, planes, and automobiles. The pocket made my life much easier and it was simpler to record on the go!
Loved this. :) My fav part of flying is the flight map! Since we are in NZ, nearly all flights are long ones, so it is satisfying to watch. My husband is traveling to HK in the new year (on the same airline!), and is hoping to get to Disneyland, so this was helpful. :)
About a month ago, my family and I went to Disneyland in Shanghai. It is also the first Disney amusement park I have visited. In the near future, I will also visit two Disney parks in Hong Kong and Tokyo.
This was a very helpful video. Im in the very early planning stages of a trip to Tokyo Disney Resort and this looks like something I should include on that adventure also. Disney park dreams…
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching and happy planning 😊 I recommend checking out our guidebooks too that’ll help with your planning! tdrexplorer.com/books
I loved this video. We recently did Tokyo Disney sea and found it easy to get to. The train station just dumps you out at the park! Very different than Disneyland Anaheim which feels trickier
Your travel vlog is my go-to when I need a virtual escape. Your storytelling skills are fantastic! By the way, have you had a chance to explore the new v4 Bento Bag and the Ikigai Backpack by NomadLane? They look like they're designed with travelers like you in mind.
Dude I envy you so much! As a black American who lived in Japan for years and went both to TDR and HKDL tons of times I miss living there. I actually been to Hong Kong again in 2019 and plan to try and go again next year for Frozen and stay at the Explorer hotel. Waiting until the TDR Fantasy Spring area opens. Haven't been to TDR since 2007. 😥 Can't wait to watch the rest of your trip!
4 1/2 hr flight, woo hoo 😊 I’d be happy with that. I’m travelling to Iceland mid Jan & I’m looking at 37 hrs 😮 it will be worth it. I’m looking at Japan next Sept/Oct, so I’ll start researching when I’m home. Oh & I have a few days at Disneyland Paris, can’t wait 😊😊
I should watch your travel from narita airport to Disney by the sea tokyo! Especially with best way to travel transport. Ps where in asia do you live then? Just curious haha 😂
we took the taxi to hong Kong disney - with 2 of us it was around the same price as getting the MTR (maybe a bit more expensive) but so much less time as you are direct door to door, not changing subways plus then getting a bus to resort hotel.
Yes! Not having to take the resort bus after arriving on the mtr station makes all the difference once you’ve been on a long plane ride. You just wanna get to the hotel 😭
Hahahah I use lush beard and face wash, muji toning water, beard balm, and muji face moisturizer. Topped off with matte face powder with sunscreen so I don’t get a sun burn 🔥
Only 6 in the morning? Your lucky. When I fly from Berlin to Disneyland Paris I am at the airport at 4:30 in the morning. When at Hong Kong Disneyland I like staying at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel.
hi chris because I have adhd and Asperger I am a very nervous person and when I lived in Japan and I took the train once eventhoug I knew the route I asked many times it was in 2011 so there weren't smart phones I dont know if I could take the train the way you did you made it look so simple 🕶
Thank you for always watching and commenting. The route I took usually only has one transfer so it’s not too bad. You just have to be mindful of the timing.
At least it was daylight when you started. ;) Have you ever had a job where it was dark when you started and also when you got off work ? Alternate universe stuff. ;).
Hahahh there was a good selection but with such a short flight (for me) I usually don’t watch films. On my longer flights I definitely watch two or three. But I do love watching the flight map obsessively 😆
2:43 Omg so many drinks. Amazing. I keep saying I want to visit Japan. I am part Japanese but I only know a few words lol. I’ve heard Japan doesn’t cater to English speakers that much
I've seen mixed. I think the more rural areas don't have English mainly due to not knowing English vs the city areas seem more accommodating or have tech translation options. Depends where/what you want to visit.
Japan is super fun to visit! I don't speak any or read any and at least in Tokyo it was fine. I took a day trip or two to a few close to Tokyo but not Tokyo towns and getting around was still not too difficult
Love the video! But just for future guests if you're staying in HK (so not going direct from airport) please don't get a taxi! The mtr will take you straight to Disneyland, takes 30 mins from Central, and a fraction of the cost ❤
Hi @tdrexplorer we are booked at disney explorers lodge this Dec. Are hotel guests allowed to enter the park an hour earlier? Or we still need to purchase early entry pass tickets? Thank you!😊
noo thank you for creating such amazing content i really appreciate it watch your videos every day there addicting and i love thatt !!! your the best !!! :)
I hope you enjoyed my travel day vlog from Japan to Hong Kong! Anyone planning to travel this route on a trip?
I live in Hong Kong :) Planning to check out the Frozen bit in December when I go for winter break.
Not yet, would love to. Can’t wait for the next one! (Yes, travel days are cool to watch, makes me see it’s totally possible, loved it. )
Not this route but we will be doing Singapore- Hong Kong in April - really excited to see the rest of your Hong Kong videos 😊

Glad you enjoyed it!
“…just bangs?!?” This got me 😂
Yay! I always love it when new videos drop. :)
I’m super excited to see the upcoming video for frozen.
So fun, it's like we were traveling with you! I loved seeing the teeny Haagen Dazs ice cream on the plane!
Thank you for watching! I’m trying out my new Osmo Pocket 3. It made recording easier while on the move. My other Sony camera was too big to handle while I tried to navigate trains, planes, and automobiles. The pocket made my life much easier and it was simpler to record on the go!
I really love the travel vlog, very relaxing and I enjoyed the scenery a lot!
Thank you!
I know I'm late but I love the room and adore the little toiletry bag.
Better late than never! The little toiletry bag is super cuteeee. Thank you for watching
Hope you enjoyed everything! Thank you again!
It was wonderful! Thank you 🥰
11:41 Or you can take the MTR. They have a line that can take you directly from Sunny Bay to Hong Kong Disneyland
11:56 I love this hotel as well
Thanks for sharing your travel day, it was useful seeing how the train works. Enjoy your trip 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great vlog, excited to see the World of Frozen vlog
Thank you for watching!
I’ve recently returned from Japan and just the whole train station content was lovely - we only travelled by trains so the sounds took me back 😂
I love train content so much, haha.
This was such a nice video. Your outfit is so cute. Can't wait to see the world of frozen 😍
Thank you! 🤗
How cute is Mossie ❤

Glad it helped! Yes, I got some good rest 😆
I loved this video. We recently did Tokyo Disney sea and found it easy to get to. The train station just dumps you out at the park! Very different than Disneyland Anaheim which feels trickier
Thank you for watching! The train system in Japan is wonderful 😭
Oooo narita. Never been a fan of that airport. Guessing you didn’t have a choice. I love the McDonalds food price review, lol
The other main international is Haneda?
@@chrishintz1077 correct, and always the preferred one. Its actually in Tokyo unlike Narita which is in the country side of Chiba.
Great trip.

That’s a long transit time but it’ll be worth it thank you for watching 🥰
Hii chris.
Saw you at usj last tuesday at louie pizza when u making content.
But me and my family too shy to greet u and your friend😅.
Hi! Awww you should have said hi! I hope you had fun though.

@@tdrexplorer oh never heard of muji ! Oh I’ve heard the powder from super goop is pretty good and good for the parks
Only 6 in the morning? Your lucky. When I fly from Berlin to Disneyland Paris I am at the airport at 4:30 in the morning. When at Hong Kong Disneyland I like staying at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel.
The HKDL hotel is fantastic too! Thank you for watching!
Welcome Back To Hong Kong
Thank you!
Any documents required to enter to honk kong?
7:44 1300 yen is $8.70 and 1900 yen is $12.71. Wow those are good one way prices
hi chris because I have adhd and Asperger I am a very nervous person and when I lived in Japan and I took the train once eventhoug I knew the route I asked many times it was in 2011 so there weren't smart phones I dont know if I could take the train the way you did you made it look so simple 🕶

Uber is also great in HK!
I’m going to disney hk in a few days
Have fun! 🤩
If you are staying at one of the hotels on the monorail loop, can you take your luggage on the monorail to transfer to maihama station?
Yep! Alternatively you could have bags shipped to the welcome center (depending on the hotel) which is at Maihama station.
At least it was daylight when you started. ;) Have you ever had a job where it was dark when you started and also when you got off work ? Alternate universe stuff. ;).
I did actually! Back in my early twenties 😆
Everyone seems to like the flight map on the IFE. ;). I wonder what that says about the regular production entertainment? ;).
Hahahh there was a good selection but with such a short flight (for me) I usually don’t watch films. On my longer flights I definitely watch two or three. But I do love watching the flight map obsessively 😆
no flights to HK from Haneda?
There are but our flight in particular was from Narita.
@@tdrexplorer got it, btw nice coverage of Zootopia

If you can at all travel there, I’d say go for it. The vlogs I’ve seen have been overwhelmingly positive.
Japan is super fun to visit! I don't speak any or read any and at least in Tokyo it was fine. I took a day trip or two to a few close to Tokyo but not Tokyo towns and getting around was still not too difficult
You should come! You’ll be fine in most situations with only speaking English. But knowing a few more words will definitely help.
❤
🥰
Will you travel to Macau one day?
I’ve been twice! But I haven’t done any videos on them when I did go. Maybe one day.
Love the video! But just for future guests if you're staying in HK (so not going direct from airport) please don't get a taxi! The mtr will take you straight to Disneyland, takes 30 mins from Central, and a fraction of the cost ❤

I wonder if you ran into jojo and jete since they’re there too!
I didn’t, I record these videos during the media event which was before the official opening.
Where did you get that cute vest?
We made it!
