I am glad Suede have the balls to share this, if anything you can hear it in Brett's voice just how much a bad place Brett was in at this point and how it was effecting the band as a whole, I am so glad that they made the right decision and took the hiatus, everyone got the break they needed, Brett got clean and they came back stronger. Wish more bands would be brave enough to share this kind of stuff. Its not that its a bad live performance at all, you just can hear something is off.
Yep, he's raw, and channelling Bez in the facial department. It's a different flavour Suede though, which was nice to see with Head Music. Real half and half album, but one you're glad exists because it's at least an interesting artefact. Good to have a clean proshoot of this era up on YT at last too.
I was 17 years old and made a blind selection of this album from the Columbia House deals we had in magazines. 25 years later and still enjoying the heck out of discovering this band . They definitely make it on the Mount Rushmore of Britpop bands for me.

Fantastic. "Electricity" isn't one of Brett's favorite songs but that was great. I love that song. Richard's blistering on that one. Haven't seen them since Coming UP as I'm in the US. Saw them twice on first US Tour, twice on Dog Man Star. The band of the 90's for me. Would be great to see them again.
richaaaaaaaard ✨✨✨✨ damn ‘99 I was only 11 but already had head music cassette coz She’s in Fashion stole everybody’s heart including a little girl like me🥰

Saludos

20 years later and I still hear "and I.... Can't get it up!" (Are we really sure Justine was referring to Damon's *Stutter* and not Brett's?) 🤔 Still love Brett anyway.
We all know Head music is flawed but there is them B sides from that era are amazing but definitely there are still songs from Head music are great by any band's standards
All they needed to do was take off Elephant Man, Head Music, and There's A Crack In The Union Jack and replace them with Popstar, Let Go, and Heroin and it would have been an infinitely better album. It's almost like Brett wanted to sabotage the album by including a weak track on it like Elephant Man.
Antonio Calvo it’s back I saw suede 2019 Brighton Brett rocked and his voice was immaculate as was the rest of the band, and I saw them back in the 90s as well. Priceless
Brett’s not particularly proud of it, he said in his latest book he only wrote it to have a hit single and even called it “a waste of everybody’s time”. Which is harsh cos it’s an absolute banger.

GREAT BAND FOREVER
Those years where we see hands are up beautifully, fans really enjoying the music and just eyes witnessing, instead of smartphones recording.
Neil's voice is so pure and angelic
1999...I wasn't even born yet, envy those who were there...Wish I could go back to the 90s or be born earlier just for suede. Love them.
I was 19 back then and saw them live on this Tour the same year but @ L'Olympia in Paris. Now I'm feeling old too Haha
Same mate, I love Suede but I wasn’t born either😂
I was most definitely around then it's wonderful to see a young fan base for Suede now they are stronger then ever
We were lucky here in Singapore... Every new album release there was special performance for Singapore since 1993
@@1980Silverstar I was at the Olympia and I catched his tambourine!
I was there...time flies😂
You are soooo lucky!!!🤗🤗🤗
Madeline Chung Thank you☺️
super jealous. I was 18 and I was born in Central America but Suede!!!... Oasis with a bunch

Brett
Simon✨
Neil✨
Richard✨
