    You got my sub this helped me save a few bucks and the trouble of finding a place in my part of California. I had absolutely no clue that little port on the side was meant to give you access to lube up your reel gears my mind is absolutely blown.

    Thanks for the video was a great learning tool for me. I would love to see a video of the differences and your opinions between the 2nd version of the mach crush . Not the 1st . and the new Mach jacked combo. Thanks

    Would this cover most baitcaster reels?

    • @FishinwithGRAMPS

      I suppose I could compare it to changing oil in a car, the method is similar but it is a little different in every brand

    So you do not clean your drag washers and put new drag grease on those? Or remove your pawl and clean it and re oil it either? Call anytime you drop it in the water all that gets wet and dirty so you're just doing a partial cleaning and service

    Have you spent more time with the lew’s SP skipping reel since your review? Is it worth buying a dedicated reel or are their multipurpose reels that skip just as good for $200?

    • @FishinwithGRAMPS
      @FishinwithGRAMPS  3 года назад

      I haven't been on the water since, waiting for warmer days. I can skip pretty much anything, but still love this reel. I would even recommend for those are just coming to baitcasters. I am sure most will dismiss because they consider it a novelty or specialty item, but I like the idea.

      Mine is now, I can feel every tooth of every gear when reeling it in. But mine hasn’t gotten wet and it’s constantly covered but it’s been used a lot this last year.

    You forgot to link the guy that works on reels. I live about 45 from Gene so I’m hoping the guy is local and I can just take it to him.

    I can’t seem to get the side part off, like where the spool comes out. I flick the switch and try to pull it off, but it won’t come off? Would you know why?

    Will wd40 work

    • @FishinwithGRAMPS
      @FishinwithGRAMPS  3 года назад +2

      WD-40 is a degreaser, it breaks down grease and oil. Never use it to lubricate a reel.
