Cory makes his way back into the SCP Foundation. Inside, he finds a video log stating the horrific events caused by SCP-001, otherwise known as the designation given to the Sun. Upon contact with visible light produced by the sun, living organisms liquefy at the point of contact. Cory sees the terrible fate his friends must go through as they try to survive the horrors of SCP-001.

Actually, all the 001's are from alternate universes which is why they are so different. Not all SCP's live in the same timeline or the same ones exist but there are many many versions of the SCP foundation and the SCP's they hold.

Eric Martinez bro that’s a good theory but I think that we won’t ever know ,the scp file of scp 001 states that Something caused the sun to be like that and I highly doubt that. My theory is that yabaloth ,the god of flesh came back to conquer earth and turned humanity to flesh, just exactly like what the sarkic cultists wanted.
When day breaks is terrifying for me. The thought of hiding in an underground room while my dead loved ones call out... Its terrifying.
It doesn't have to be underground, the corrupted sun is unable to melt concrete or something similar.
