Good story. A journey to understand life. Through Sowoon and Priest John who resembled his Father Priest and Mother affair in the past he come to understand the problem and finally make peace with his life
it's very interesting story......unusual. i liked it and i understood it. for me was a good movie. i enjoyed it....i like Joowan, his acting. the expression of his face........his good.
The nail had me curious. (First time I had heard about it) So I looked it up. Cute that they dropped them about for Pavarotti. This is a bit long, but you might find it interesting. :) Pavarotti's Nail For super-tenor Luciano Pavarotti, the high-Cs were guaranteed with a bent nail in his pocket. Early in his career, Pavarotti believed a talisman would help him manage his nerves but he didn't have a medal or another lucky object at hand. As he walked through the wings to the stage, he saw a bent nail on the floor, slipped it into his pocket and proceeded to bring the house down. From then on, stagehands would strategically scatter a couple of real bent nails for Pavarotti to find on the path from dressing room to the freezing garret in La Boheme or the court of the emperor in Turandot. As long as he had one tucked into his costume, the show could go on.
Joshina Tansanity Is what I copied from this ep 59? I will look it up. Thank you. (It's something I saw in a news piece, when trying to find more about the nail.)
I had a teacher at school who was a priest and the left the Church in order to get married to the great love of his life. It wasn't his fault if he met her after becoming a priest. It is much better to be honest than to live in hypocrisy. The two became a very happy couple and had a child too.
irmar If you think logically that teacher of yours was living in hypocrisy from the start. If he was a priest then he clearly knew what were the sacrifices his position would impose on him. He didn't know what he was looking for until he met a woman who changed his life. Poor him!
@@Ab-kq7ql If you have never known feelings of love and desire, you underestimate their power, and you could over-estimate your capacity of suppressing them. At the end of the day, the important thing is being happy. The life of a Catholic priest is unnatural. Orthodox priests and Protestant priests marry and they are not worse for it.
I hate the girl. Why she even slept with the guy if in the first place she loves the priest. She hurt the leading man here. I still don't understand that girl.
wow they play against each other again after "Suddenly last summer," and this knowledge makes me find the fact they're (at least one of them) devout Catholics hilarious 😅
He probably was aready dead in the cab...and was just sitting up!! Some of these Koreans ALWAYS wanna blame somebody for their problem....they don't think things can just happen!!
If priests can counsel so well the confessional sins of others, then *every **_emotionally troubled woman_** living in Korea* would be madly falling in love with them :) Anyway it's a drama movie
Sure, i'll try. *SPOILER ALERT* So, a guy was once in a Priest school and had like a final year till he can fully become a legit Priest but, then the board of Priest selectors ( *or something like it* ), got to know that his father was a Priest and committed a sin by having an affair. So he could no longer become a Priest because he was not " *pure* ", because of his parents. So, he hits rock bottom and his best friend ( *a Priest* ) tries to help him get back on his feet. Now, his best friend has a really close friend ( *the girl* ) who is madly in love with him ( *the best friend* ) but, because he's a Priest ( *the best friend* ). He can't be in love with her and be a Priest, so she becomes desperate. She knows the guy is his best friend and sleeps with him to relieve some of the pain she endures not being able to love his best friend and to feel what it might be like if she was with his best friend. And so, at the end the best friend has to make a choice of either to be in love with her or to remain a Priest forever. And the guy ( *the exPriest* ) realizes his purpose in life along with closure from his fathers death. About the bent nails, it's just to make the story more interesting, i guess.
I don't understand at all ! Who is Guilty know? The girl The Priest 1 The Priest 2 The Priest Mother The Priest father who is dead Or ..........?? I can't get anything sorry , someone help to explain about this? Your Fan from Europe 😁😁😁😁😥😥😥😥😥😥🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
Worried about the sensitive issue of the story. Just like "Man Who Dies For Live" from mbc that recently became controversial. At least this story has a moral value, "be honest with yourself instead of living in hypocrisy". :|
Crazy woman sleeping with several guys ...She should stick to the man she liked not hurt the other man. Feel pitiful for the guy he had alot of things happening to him and this is how it ends...Disappointing plot.
it is clear to see that the writer of this story has a very wronged and misleading perspective of the Catholic faith. he/she bashed the image of priests using the actor's friend who is a priest himself and encourages the poor guy to do things that are the complete opposite of the Catholic doctrine found in the Bible and the Catechism of the Catholic church. Suwon is a Sunday school teacher?😫 I am a Sunday teacher and I don't be going around getting drunk and sleeping with strangers, much less having an affair with the priest!!!😫 what type of story is this? I feel very disappointed KBS😞😞😞😞 this story is very biased ...... how sad....
Of course, it is my faith and because it is my faith I know this was a very biased movie towards priests and the Catholic faith. This is not something that happens all the time, but when it does happen, the media talks about it more. It seems as though adultery only happened in the Catholic Church, NO! it is not indeed a unique situation...but not only in the Church but everywhere, politicians, pastors from protestant churches, fathers in households. Come on, it happens every where, and it isn't a "common" thing with Catholics but everywhere my friend ;)
you should know that so many cults like that still exist to this day. whether or not you think you're a true Christian or not, you're following not the bible, but the rules of the church you and your family go to. in the name of religion there are a lot of people who commit crimes. there are so mnay eho still think they can so whatever they consider is the right representation of the Bible when no one owns or knows the first and true copy of it in the first place. it's your faith, surely you're the one biased towards everything pertaining to the religion. bad stuff always gets more attention, and for good reason. things like cults practicing unusual rituals, customs that pull away from. basic human rights and morals deserve to be taken down or modified or kept on radar. you just can't let those slide. and this isn't always about Christianity as other religions face the same disputes. but Christianity being the most followed means there are a lot of people preaching their own interpretation of the religion.
Oh noes... It has nothing to do with the writer's opinion of priests being this or that nor to attack the catHolic community and its members. It is simply a story with the characters you saw. The movie as an assumed reality just for an hour and just for the fictional characters. It is the characters' lives, a drama, fiction. P.s. Please dont "attack" me. Im a believer of God too. We are all just humans, priest or not, nun or not
I'm so sorry to say this but I'm kind of disappointed with the story although it was well scripted but the story line about a priest who betrayed his faith to be with his lover is not appropriate.
Badi ajeeb public hai... kisi ke jootey pe kya likha sab badey dhyaan se dekhtey... par father chipka chori se khuley aam airport pe... koi dekhne wala nahin. :) Kya yaar globs!
The more I watch these short dramas, the more I am overwelhmed by the variety of love stories they have. So, So good !! Thank you !!!
Same! Short dramas have SO MUCH better storylines than normal dramas
I really like the shirt Korean man wear..thin collar...almost all clothes are fashionable.
Interesting story. Sad throughout, but at least they tied up the ends on this one. Most of these specials leave you hanging.
Good story. A journey to understand life. Through Sowoon and Priest John who resembled his Father Priest and Mother affair in the past he come to understand the problem and finally make peace with his life
it is not wierd, it is a beautiful story.
I an in love with KBS drama.

A priest is also a human being.

Oh my that was interesting.
Most comments missing the point of the story ... Oh well, no one is perfect as they say, i just wished they didnt make such rude remarks
Be honest with yourself first!
I dont get why most viewers think this was a confusing story.. I understood it. But I think it could have been better.
junyeong is in love to yeongjeong ever since they become friend?...
백두산까지 3만원 ♥
Be true to your heart. You can't lie to yourself. Your heart know your true self. The bent nail????
I think it has to do with Jesus and the nails we had on the cross
Wow! this is one hell of a story..i admire yeongjeong😊
Watching Nov.14,2018❤
I thought Pyongyang is at North Korea. There are other places called Pyongyang too??
Red Fullpack Human No that means symbolic concept in this drama. The place not to go realistically. Like a Father has not said to love his son.
HAHAHA the very reason I clicked the drama special.
wow they play against each other again after "Suddenly last summer," and this knowledge makes me find the fact they're (at least one of them) devout Catholics hilarious 😅
Sung-tae! 😁
confusing but ok movie

Wonderful story.. kinda weird though.
I watch it but still don't understand. Can you explain to me if

Sure, i'll try. *SPOILER ALERT*

Crazy woman sleeping with several guys ...She should stick to the man she liked not hurt the other man. Feel pitiful for the guy he had alot of things happening to him and this is how it ends...Disappointing plot.
Looooooove
felt more like a BL genre
That woman must gone through plastic surgery a lot 😂 and i dont understand why she must sleep with other guy if she love that Father
Does Catholic rituals in Korea are like that? because in Western Europe you don't see women with a veil anymore except the bride when marrying.
era pra te ficado juntos
I can't get this movie at all. 😑
I see similar casts from the Lucifer!
After note... Life continues on...

Rendra Sulistiawan
yessssss me too! seems like they purposly wanted to throw shade to the Catholic priests 😥
But it happens a lot irl tho. Just bcs you do see it as inappropriate, doesn't mean that it really is
It is better compared to those who commit adultery/paedophil/sexual abuse inside the Catholic Church, that have sometimes been exposed to the public.
