That’s a nice selection of rail trails. I have done 4 of the 5.

The Peterborough-Lindsay trail has been enjoyed by us a few times. We love the Millennium trail and have ridden it numerous times. We are centrally to both of these and love riding them. We need to take some time to explore the trails of SW Ontario… they look great to ride.

I love both those trails. The villages/towns along the Millennium are really worth a visit

@@cardiaccyclist7477Absolutely! There are numerous excellent, and well priced, eateries along the way to enjoy.

What a stellar selection Andrew! I love that you and I overlap on many preferences here! (Although, I would of course switch up the order, since I bikepacking/ touring ride these and connect them using camping spots/Provincial Parks/Conservation Areas/Stealth Camping). Eg. When I lived in Cobourg, I would ride up to Hastings, ride the Lang-Hastings trail to Peterborough, stay at Beavermead Park, continue out to Omeeme (maybe stay at Emily Provincial Park, out to Lindsay, there switch north on the Victoria Rail Trail to Fenelon Falls, Up to Kinmont joining the Haliburton Rail Trail (which you've featured before), I camped in front of the Gelert cemetery!
This year, now based out of Hamilton, I road the Hamilton/ Brantford Rail Trail also (love the Trail Centre too), camped at Brant conservation area, carried on to Paris (love the town, especially the quaint Dog Eared Cafe&Bookstore) set up camp at Pinehurst conservation area near GlenMorris, and carried on to Cambridge for supper. I couldn't agree more with you about the Grand River and this trail has great outlooks all along!
One thing that I particularly liked about the Millennium Trail is that it goes by the best ever Bike shop Bloomfield Bicycle Shop. Katie there is soooo patient getting people (particularly women like my wife) the proper fit, comfortable saddle!
Such inspiring video of some of my favourite trails! Thanks to you my younger sibling and I had a blast on the Caledon Rail Trail. We hadn't seen the Cheltenham Brick works since my aunt had a pottery studio in Terra Cotta. These videos are gems! On to the next one! Cheers!

Nice idea for a video Andrew, I have done 7 & 8 a few times, personally I prefer the Hamilton / Brantford trail above the Cambridge to Paris trail but both are great rides.

Great video. It would have been great if you could have made a comment about annoying atv traffic on each trail

Ah yes, unfortunately (or fortunately) when I ride on rail trails nothing generally annoys me. I am sure there are channels though, that are more geared up to that kind of review.

@cardiaccyclist7477 😀 I don't mind sharing but when inconsiderate drivers use engine power to exceed the speedlimit and thereby effectively forcing me to inhale dust, it gets on my nerves. One of the reasons why I prefer tracks like the petit rail track in Quebec. No atvs.

Part of that trestle part on the Omomee was damaged by fire in 2024. No word on when it'll be open again.
