- I've never been trilled with the backstall landing method. Landing with the flag out results in a rats nest of twisted tangled lines. So I made a PVC hook connected to a sand anchor. I covered glued PVC joints with some duct tape because they have a few sharp edges. I might add a bungie cord instead of the rope to add some shock resistance. Use this idea at your own risk.

Really cool idea. I kite frequently by myself and recently bought my first foil kite. I've been struggling to land it solo. I will try this in my next session. Thanks.
Clever method. But need to be careful of not touching the fabric with the hook.

Sounds very clever, I must make one, that I will connect to a sand hook that I sometimes use for LEI kite when wind is very strong and gusty, mostly to take off, as landing alone with LEI kite is rather safe.
This will be perfect for a 15m2 foil kite when wind suddenly picks up to 25+ kts and nobody is ready to help! 😎

It may damage the brydles, or not ?
No problems all last year. I have a few Chinese Pansh kites with cheaper thinner bridles. So I'll be a little more leary with those kits. I tried a different method today, clipping a carabiner attached to a sand back, to the rear steering line and walking backwards until the carabiner gets to the the pulley/bridle. Someone else mentioned it but the kite still flops around a lot. I like my idea better but on a nuking day, the kite sometimes knocks over the hook and you have to reset it.

Ozone tampon with strings waste of time and money best kite for foiling is UFO v2 will out perform the ozone tampon in relaunching turning speed will drift just has well has a tampon here the best parts can stay on the water for hour waiting for the winds to come back your tampon will fill up like a water jug and when you want to take your water soaked tampon out of the water you will have rip the internal cloth valve in side the tampon or if you use your tampon in over powered condition tampon has to be adjusted continuously plus 2500 grand for a tampon I now use my ozone foils the right way has drop clothes in construction ozone foils are garbage. There inflatables are asome but they could do a lot better if ozone was putting a hundred percent in to there inflatables line if they weren’t so committed to there tampons kites that’s why now slingshot kites lead the way to in foiling
