As someone who was locked up when they brought kids in for something like this the guards came in and told us to be as wild as possible 😂 gotta pizza party for the block for scaring kids
For those who don't understand why this was all filmed, the reason this show ever existed was to try and help teach kids not to do drugs, commit crimes, kill people, etc and spotlight those kids who came out of the show actually trying to make their lives better because you should always choose the right path otherwise you'll just be miserable.
9:45 kid seemed the most dangerous to me. His attitude was, "I know what's happening and I get it. I am too weak for this" (I got to figure out a way to have leverage on them or get stronger. Thank you for helping me improvise)
I'll never forget the clip where they hold the kid up to a door and the inmate inside is sticking his hand out the bottom trying to grab the kids legs while he's kicking and screaming
Scared Straight was a program for troubled kids to show them what prison was really like. the prison would pick prisoners that they trust to educate the kids without physically harming them. as a kid that never did anything to get in trouble, this show was amazing!!
it sucks that it never worked, and infact the reoffending rate was higher than before. i think making children who are likely mentally challenged in a prison room with shouting is really bad lmao
Alot of lawsuits came from scared straight. Typically in regards to violating the rights of the children. And we're found to have no positive outcome on the kids who went through it and actually increased the chances of them committing crime
@@dragonmaster3207 yes actually. Just do a quick Google search. "What effects did scared straight programs have" You'll find that delinquency rates rose in most cases. Typically have no positive effect on the kids. Studies have been done since the straight of these programs in the 60's and we've known the whole time they have no positive effect but people continue to use them. With the TV shows versions and non TV show versions it is often found that programs break state and federal laws while operating the programs typically opening them to criminal charges along with lawsuits. I highly recommend diving into some research on the subject as you'd be amazed at how tremendously it backfires but yet people are still so stupid and niave enough to put children into it.
Nah, as much as some episodes could be a little set-up at times. The show is still legendary AF. Funny but also does really tell you that prison isn't somewhere you wanna be stuck at. It doesn't paint the full picture but enough to scare the kids IMO
Coming from the perspective of a son since I don’t have kids I believe you can discipline your child as long as it is used as a last resort and it is being done out of love and not anger.
On behalf of everyone here I'd say we really want a part 2 of this
Wanna Play A Game??
Dont look at my name
i hope they do a part 2 this shit is so funny
absolutely
Yeah was about to say, this shit is hilarious
I agree
A Sidemen ‘Scared Straight’ would be a great idea imo
Great idea for Americans but they would have to act cuz I know Ethan ain't scared
why did i think it was the sdmn that was gonna do the scaring💀
The AMP one was one of the funniest things I’ve seen, so it might work it just depends since its the UK and not the US.

7:11 simon sounded like herbert from family guy 😂😂
3:54 "it kinda smells funny" made me laugh harder than i should
We need a part 2 😂

If they do make a part 2, then the “comb his chest hair” clip has to be on it!
That was a good one haven’t had a video like that that actually got me to laugh in a WHILE!!😂😂😂
This has got a Sidemen Sunday written all over it tbh
2:38 has me rolling 😂
"You could have an aneurysm on the toilet!! You never knooooow."
GOATed clip to start it off 😂
"YOU CAN HAVE AN ANEURISM THE TOILET " I love this show.
Giving kids trauma is always funny
we need a sidemen beyond scared straight with phil
No we do not
we need that but with real prisoners

Nah, as much as some episodes could be a little set-up at times. The show is still legendary AF. Funny but also does really tell you that prison isn't somewhere you wanna be stuck at. It doesn't paint the full picture but enough to scare the kids IMO
RIP to one of the guards, who sadly died in 2016, I believe
This was a brilliant series, some super funny moments
The kid at the end was the smartest and scariest lmao
I bet the guy behind the camera smiled when the officer said, “You better apologize to my camera crew.”
Oh boy I hope this gets as many versions as Family Guy's dark humour moments.
And Harry should be on here as well!
This was incredible. Do more of these
The last kid is such a little legend lmao
that last kid then grew up to be The Riddler
Fun fact the prisoners that participate have been on good behavior and get incentive for participating also the shows called beyond scared straight
2:45 that guy was lifted like some force from a UFO tryna capture him making him look weightless
That last one was Sheldon Cooper in a different multiverse😂😂😂
3:00 is nuts 😂🤣😂 the way they lifted him up 😂 Also at 4:47 I've been woken up like this a few times in my life 😂
it finally happened !!! for 5 years i was waiting for the sidemen to react to them
I’m with Josh on Simon not sounding like Simon
I feel like this is peak American TV.
Sidemen sunday of the sidemen experiencing prison would be a banger
We need a part 2 there’s sooo many more clips 😂
Nah 3:59 Simon pausing it right at the punch and then proceeding to talk about something else completely is so jarring
Nah we need a part 2 bro 😭
There was one kid who went onto this show didn't take it seriously and in a later season he reappears as one of the prisoners.
Y’all gotta react to beyond scared straight 1999 and 1970
That parkour kid is going places lol

You need to watching “riding the lightning” compilation. Probably some of the funniest videos
I genuinely miss this show 😂
We need a Beyond Scared Straight with Phil as all the officers & inmates😂😂
"that man can hurt you"
"all of them can" im a child
Aww man the one clip I wanted you all to react to fully and you all talking at the wrong time when that kid said it's not open all the way 🤣🤣

Joshs confusion at the start really got me haha
Banging videos. Sidemen should react to 60 days in jail
we need a beyond scared straight with the sidemen but get low level inmates like the show and if the video does good you should do a u.s. version.
