The Cathedral of St. Basil the Blessed, officially the Cathedral of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin on the Moat (also Pokrovsky Cathedral, Cathedral of the Intercession on the Moat) is an Orthodox church on Red Square in Moscow. It is one of the most significant monuments of ancient Russian architecture of the 16th century. The cathedral was built in 1555-1561 by order of Tsar Ivan the Terrible in honor of the conquest of the Kazan Kingdom.
Wow! What a beautiful cathedral! All of the artwork, craftmanship and antiques are really breathtaking. Thank you so much for taking us on this walking tour of Red Square. I'm looking forward to Part 2!
Hi Valeria, it has always been my dream to visit St Basil's Cathedral in Moscow. Thank you for showing me what it is like both inside and out - its beautiful. I love this time of year when the sun is low and its light illuminates the buildings making them glow. Red Square is beautiful.
Years ago we were able to hear the famous melody from the large clock on radio Moscow shortwave. Such beautiful buildings-thank you so much for taking us along. Best wishes.
Definitely enjoyed our walk with you through Red Square!!Absolutely stunning architecture!! The bells are amazing!! We never have bells ring out in Canada anymore. Thank you for sharing with us Valeria! 🤗🤗
Hello Valeria, Thank you so very, very much for showing us The Red Square and both Beautiful Cathedrals. The art work is amazing and I am just so Blessed that you took the time out of your busy schedule to show us such Beautiful Cathedrals in your City Moscow . I hope and pray that you caught your train home safely without any problems home before it got to dark. Alex & Sheffield will be worrying about you if you are late getting home from the City. Many thanks again Valeria for taking us along with you I enjoyed it so very much. Keep warm now the nights are colder for us in California not as much as you 😊.Love & Many Blessings to You , Alex, Sheffield ❤❤❤XXX
There is a cross stitch kit of St. Basil Cathedral that I have loved for many years but it’s very expensive to get here so I just enjoy pictures of it, it is just beautiful, an amazing work of architecture. Thank you for taking us along to see everything there🥰👍🏼🙋🏼♀️
Beautiful Cathedral! Thank you for taking us there to see this stunning architectural masterpiece, I've never seen anything like it. Blessings to you and Alex. xx
after seeing this video of your country's capitol, i rather think you'd be disappointed to tour the US capitol. this is a tremendous video~thankyou so much!
Stunningly beautiful! I look forward to part 2. Years ago I read a wonderful book called Land of the Firebird by Suzanne Massie and ever since I've wanted to visit your country.
Absolutely stunningly beautiful, I so wish I didn't have a fear of flying, otherwise I would be visiting all these beautiful places in Russia. New Zealand is a long way away. I will have to take a ship to Japan, then a ferry across to Vladivostok, then then the trans Siberian railway across to Moscow. It's doable!!!! Thankyou Valerie 🌿
So Colorful, So Unique, I remember copying this image for extra credit in middle school. I wasn't smart, I struggled, but I could draw, and it often gained me extra points with my teachers.
Thank you Valeria for taking us inside this magnificent cathedral. I thought of how grateful we should be that this historic cathedral survived the turbulent times of the past. It is truly a Russian treasure that should be appreciated by all.
This is one of your most beautiful videos. Saint Basil´s Cathedral is absolutely stunning. Thank you so much for showing it to us. молодец. Is there more?
Amazing art from times gone by..when I was in high school{ CANADA} we had to pick a city to research and this was the one I chose and then was so interested that I did St Petersburg also ..that was nearly 50 years ago..lol
The Cathedral in Red Square is beautiful Is it possible to take us inside? You could be earning so much more money by just doing a few extra things. There is another RUclipsr from Russia that I also keep up with. His channel name is "The Sheekoz Family". His name is Dan and his wife is Susie. Watch a few of his videos. He shows the same kind of videos you do and has done very well with his channel. I would send you a link but I don't think RUclips will let a live link go through for security purposes. I'll see you in the next one.
