I speak Spanish, learned from a working in a Mexican grocery store, learned Russian because my wife speaks it, a little bit of Ukrainian, French to decent level, Brazilian Portuguese and lived in Brasil, im working on an Indigenous language such as Guaraní or Mayan.
I feel smarter, and people are interested in me and how i learned. Im self taught in most of them besides French, dropped out of language school after two weeks.
But i feel smarter, my wife is super proud of me and shows me off at Russian parties.
I was so shy, but everyone was like "wow you speak such good Russian, would you like a drink" or in Mexico "You speak great Spanish" I'd get hit on alot by local women. Lol but such a great time was had. Now that I've gotten married, but ive made such amazing friends and my wife because i took an interest in language

As long as you don`t know Danish, I don't call you even a talented man, dude!
To comprehend and ear practice Danish, you have to ask Danes to take the hot potato out of their mouth before speaking!
I have still problem with Danish listening comprehension, after 9 years of living in Denmark!
By the way I can speak 5 other languages fluently.
