Guys, if you are building a laptop set up for gaming never forget to buy laptop stand. Laptop stand that can lift your laptop to the same level as your head , and underneath it should have a space that you can place your keyboard. Before buying the laptop stand I needed to lean forward to look into the screen closely so my position and back was in very bad condition. Now with stands, it's just perfect.
I generally just like watching his videos because it just shows that you really don’t need this giant PC just have fun and play games. I personally do have so much of a bigger PC but I just like watching him use so little money and still be able to make a Great set up
The 4gb of vram on the 1650 and the 8gb of ram are holding the gaming experience back. Adding an additional matching 8gb stick will allow the ram to run in dual channel and your FPS will likely improve. There isn't much you can do about the 1650 4gb vram limit but I would encourage people looking for a used laptop to consider one with with a GTX 1660 or RTX 2060 with 6gb of vram or more.
For the keyboard, I would recommend the Punkston TH61. For $24, you get black switches (btw they are so nice), RGB, and a higher quality build feel. I hope you see this comment!😊
hey bro, Ive been subbed for not too long but I love watching your budget PC videos and I've noticed you buy or get sponsored a lot and I wanted to ask what do you do with the PCs? If you have any laying around man i'd be grateful to take it as I play on my older brothers ps4 slim and really want to get into the PC community and have been wanting to experience above 60fps and 60hz. Im from New Zealand. Thanks Vermax
I am very impressed at this setup, I have been using my own Gaming Laptop 'setup' for almost 2 years now, although I am planning on building a much more powerful PC in a month or so to replace it, but it is a great option to people on a smaller budget!
I definitely think that for that laptop you should get 8 more gigs of ram. 16 nowadays is what you should have at the very least. as well as getting it optimized would make it run a lot better
Just a heads up, the laptops built in display uses integrated graphics not the nvidia GPU. The way to make that laptop use the gtx 1650 ti is to plug it into a monitor, forcing it to use the secondary nvidia GPU. I know this because I play on a laptop with similar specs. Great video though :)
Hey Vermax Great video love the content, keep it up! I have a question, so im a Fortnite youtuber but i haven´t posted in about 2 months or so and i want to start posting again but i dont really find interest in making fortnite videos anymore. But i really like the type of PC/Setup type of content you make. So what are your suggestions on what type of videos i should make? -Thanks!
This video is seriously awesome for gamers who are looking to save money while still having an amazing gaming experience! The tips and recommendations given are super helpful and presented in a way that's easy to understand! Very cool!
hey vermax, this set up is insane, but it all looks really expensive, can you make a video on what you make as a gaming youtube, And some tips you would give to someone who was starting out as a gaming youtuber?
You probably don't remember me but I was in one of your videos from August of 2022. I was the last person in one of the videos where you reviewed some of your viewers setups and I made my setup messy just for that. Also I've upgraded to an extreme since that video so if you are to do one again please try and at least look at mine and tell me what you think of the upgrade. Old Setup: Xbox Series S, 760p 60fps TV, Bugha Keyboard + Mouse + Headset, PowerA Spectra Infinity. New Setup: Lenovo IdeaPad Flex5 , Razer Viper Mini, Razer Huntsman TE, HyperX Solocast, Airlite PlayStation Headset.
@@Vermax u would need to pick the correct ram stick too. if you wanna upgrade that laptop, you would need a 1.20 volts 2933mhz ddr4 sodimm 8gb ram since the cpu on that laptop (i5 10300h) can only support a maximum of 2933mhz on ram. if you paired the stock laptop ram with a 3200mhz ram stick, it won't run too well since you can't just pair a higher frequency memory to a lower stock config. it's likely going to affect performance even if it's dual channel.
@@Crimsxn_K1raMy main ram is 8 gb 3200 mhz on Lenovo legion 5 lower model then i should buy the same right ? Can I buy 16 gb instead of 8 gb ? So it will make total ram of 24 gb ( 8 + 16 gb ) right ? Does using ram of different size really reduce performance in real life usage ?
@@Tushar_995 uh yes if that specific laptop you use can support up to 32gb of ram, you can put an additional 16gb stick to it and 24gb will actually work. and yes if youre buying ram for your laptop, both of the ram sticks should match their megahertz so you wont run into a memory bandwidth bottleneck.
I recently got an acer nitro 5 off amazon for 450 bucks with same specs And it runs pretty well with some optimizations and 8gb more ram for 16gb ram gives me like a 50fps boost! also has a 144hz display not 60 so even better! :)
