Today I stone setting and polishing the platinum ceylon sapphire engagement ring L.E. 1/12 with an amazing ceylon sapphire (0,87 ct) and diamonds (0,29 ct total weight color G, VSI) * Limited edition (explained below).
* The Limited Edition means that I will only create 12 pieces of each design and therefore only 12 people in the world could and will have them.
Each piece will be engraved on the inside “L.E. 1/12 by Cimadevila” and successively.
Why this number and not another one? Well, because 12 is a special number for me. I was born on 12/12

My great grandfather was a goldsmith and ring manufacturer from Spain and built a huge business in the US in the 30s, I never really knew what went into the craft until seeing your videos. The last ring he ever made with his bare hands was the engament ring my dad gave to my mom :).

You know I never really understood why jewelry was so expensive a lot of the metals and gems aren't as valuable as they're made out to be but it makes a lot of sense now. I see why they're worth so much this ring is beautiful and it's clear how much passion you have for the craft

The craziest thing to me is it's a masterpiece before the stones are even set. Damn!
Thought just the same thing. To me, it looked sort of "glitzy" without the stones and long before it was finished. When I saw the wheelchair I asked myself if it has to be "paid for" if someone is such an outstanding artist.

I do jewelry repair and refurbishing in Germany.
Currently, the client has a custom-made ring to be enlarged by 6 nr.
current weight of the face 42.40gr 750k ...180mm width / 6mm thickness
the inside of the ring is curved and there are 2 grooves on the outside, inside these grooves there is 1 white gold and 1 rose gold in the form of 4mm full wire and these thick wires rotate independently from the ring entering the finger, so the white and rose gold wires are not fixed.
In the white gold part, there are 8 diamonds of 0.05ct each stone arranged at certain intervals
and I will enlarge this ring from number 56 to number 62 and the ring will be original when it is finished.
my age is 51 ...I started this profession in my father's shop when I was 8 years old and I have been repairing jewelry since I was 10 years old. For the first time ever, I will enlarge such an exaggerated thick ring for the first time and it is number 6.

That gem is from Sri lanka. Ceylon tea,gems, any familiarness with the word Ceylon? That's how British ppl named srilanka during their period in the country. And then the British ppl made that name 'ceylon', famous around the world while selling spices, gems, tea and so many natural resources... ppl around the world recognized our products as ceylon products. So yeahh, basically it's Sri Lanka.🙂
