Are you sure ? JODA: This booti looks very similar to kori but it is in joda or pairs and it appears like two koris independently planted on the same stem. The elongated leaves or the petals of the flowers are filled with buttonhole stitch on either sides of the tracing or in ‘Joda’ and the Centre of the kori has an open space left un-embroidered KAURI: Kori or a small shell, measuring 1 inch in size. Kori was used as form of money in olden times. The conch is also a sign of victory and good omen. In chikan embroidery the center of the kori has an opening about 3cms and both the sides of the shell have an elongated smooth surface, the chikanbooti looks like this kori. The centre is not embroidered, but the elongated sides have a Pechini stitch filled in closely and on top of the pechini a satin stitch is embroidered inside the tracing. I got this explanation when I googled.
