Max Watson Yeah I agree the story wasn't too good, but you have to admit it was pretty damn American towards the end! (Which I thought was a good thing after 8192 hours of bad storytelling,)
Gradisc Nic There wasn't a story to be noticed other than the origin of them already knowing about the monsters, including Godzilla. The story I guarantee wasn't meant to be important, but just spiced up, because there were rarely but some parts where the stories vaguely followed other people's experience which can be made clear with a little logical imagination. But the sound effects were spectacular and so were the effects. The acting was alright but that wasn't the reason i came to watch Godzilla, you can't say Godzilla's roar wasn't badass, even the televised trailer still made it sound good. The story I can agree can be a 9 mostly because the part that really furthered my expectations was the fact that Mothra was involved, it was good to see that it wasn't a movie where Godzilla was a monster that the world was trying to destroy because Godzilla was portrayed as an evil monster. If there was a decision to be made about the rating, 8/10 should be the lowest it goes.
I think people were expecting a lot more Godzilla scenes, which isn't what happens in Godzilla movies. Anyone who have ever scene a Godzilla movie before knows Godzilla is never always on the screen AT ALL. Godzilla movies always drag, they build up accordingly.
Ok so for anyone who hasn't seen the Godzilla, godzillas scream is one of the loudest things you will ever hear in a theater. At least in the one I was in
+flyingpigs1120 lol that's where I went, and yeessss, I nearly went deaf from Godzilla, and I agree the popcorn is so freaking loud. My ears rung at some parts for my theatre, like I know they want it loud but for heavens sake
it's an arcade game from the 80's but yea i think it was on n64. i could have sworn it was on the master system as well cause i had it. though i'm not sure
IvanKGB935 people need to shut up about Leo, you know who else never won a single oscar? Johnny Depp, Gary Oldman, Brad Pitt, Samuel L. Jackson and John Travolta.
The monsters were amazingly good, they were well made but the movie itself ins't good. Godammit, the movie is called Godzilla, not "Soldier Survives Monsters".
If the monsters were good that means it's a good monster movie. The only reason it was bad was a story. This is why monster movies shouldn't even attempt to have a plot.
You have to understand that MANY movies are centered around the human elements more than the main titled element. Like the Transformers movies, or Jaws, or The Thing(1982), or Alien...the list goes on! I understand the frustration of not seeing enough Godzilla, but I think that was due to the movie constantly teasing you throughout the majority of the it!
All you two did was point-out obvious things. Everyone knows that they hardly show some things and that they do it because they want to focus on the human elements. But for someone who loves what the topic is about and it's hardly shown, it's disappointing. I've loved Godzilla and they always seem to try and hold the "SpamGodzilla bottom", but, I will say and hope that if this is how it is, I want contents of it however they want to show it.
As a fan of the original Japanese Godzilla, this movie was a dream come true. If you haven't watched this film yet and you're also a Godzilla fan, WATCH IT! Even if you're not, it's definitely worth watching.
My moms been watching Days of our lives since she was a child, which was when it was new. I cant watch TV with her anymore she always puts it on that. *shivers*
Jame's review of Godzilla 2014: Good fights. Good dog. Good water. Good explosions. Good bombs...that cause explosions. Good...uhh...teeth...roar...teeth.
People who hate this movie went in thinking it would be exactly like pacific rim with monster fights every 20 minutes, this movie was amazing to me being a godzilla fan those who hated went in to the movie having the wrong idea
*SPOILER* The only issue I had with this movie, was that the Japanese scientist talked in an almost perfect American accent, until it came to the point of him saying Godzilla, at that point he said "Godzirra", I found it kind of funny. The part where he fucking opened the moth things mouth and shot blue lase fire into it, that was fucking epic. One other thing I have an issue with, is that they didn't explain what the moth things were. I had no fucking idea what they were, so I wish it would have gone a little more in-depth about them Altogether I give the movie a 9.5/10.
basket1099 They're making a movie about Godzilla..... they obviously have rights to use it's name hahahaha. Speaking of how the movie is called "Godzilla"
Namesarefull Even the fightiest Godzilla movie Final Wars in 2004 had tons of human drama. This movie matches up to the original quite well and not only that but it didn't show Godzilla much in the 1954 one! It was all "Oh man, this is fucked! What are we going to do?!" There is literally no point to complaining about it. Fuck off.
That was probably one of the best skits yet! xD Still laughing about the Breaking Bad scene. Also, nice editing Dan! Liked how it was a parody to the older and cheesier Godzilla movies.
They were suppose to do a minecraft breaking bad after their minecraft walking dead.....never came out. If the comedy gold that was in this skit would've been in the minecraft series, than we missed out on a great minecraft series.
after watching like every movie trip they did I still don't get their taste in movies… though I still love watching these trips and I'm always curious if they will like a movie or not!
I love your shorts they remind me of something from the movie "Be Kind Rewind" was that something you were going for? dam dude I need to see this movie.
I actually liked Godzilla more than Pacific Rim. Pacific Rim was awesome, but I just liked the more serious tone and how they kept teasing the fights so that it made the final fight that much more epic. Plus Godzilla didn't have a stupid post-credits scene like Pacific Rim.
I honestly thought the movie was pretty good. Some of the acting I was meh on, but Bryan Cranston's acting was spot on! The CGI was amazing and the ending fight scene was well worth the wait. IF there is going to be another Godzilla movie I will probably go see it. :)
the opening skit was so amazing and realistic!!! i cant believe that they have the editing skills to create such a masterpiece. i think it was better than the real godzilla!!!!
I'm not going to pull the whole "you're not a fan if..." statement. Part of their charm is the their corniness and their ability to make it entertaining. I would HIGHLY recommend you seeing this one in case you haven't.
I didn't watch the movie (yet), but THANKS SO MUCH for spoiling the fact that bryan cranston most likely dies in this f-cking movie! Rofl, why don't you guys just make a spoiler-free AND a spoiler version?
BlitzWare518 So far they've been pretty aware not to put any spoilers in the Movie Trip videos they put out, but for some reason they decided to allow one spoiler this time.
It was a typical Godzilla movie imo (Not in a bad way, I loved this movie). They usually don't show a whole bunch of Godzilla until the end, so I was satisfied that they stuck to how it has always been done.
Godzilla was actually a good guy because in the movie did godzilla kill people yes but only on accident because he came to come and kill the muto to save the people and at the end he didn't kill the people because he was protecting them that's why he just went back into the water instead of attacking the people!!
Godzilla is a bad guy if u seen older godzilla movies were godzilla attacks the city and kills everyone like when they had to make mega godzilla to stop godzilla
correction: Godzilla is labelled as an anti-hero. He isn't necessarily a villain, but his actions were not to save people. Godzilla is Mother Nature incarnated, he was there to balance out the equilibrium of the planet. The MUTOs are parasites, and their existence upsets the balance, and Godzilla hunted and killed them before they could repopulate. It's like the relationship between flies and spiders. Spiders exist to keep fly and other pests' population at bay. People are scared of spiders, but they do more good than bad.
Spoilers This movie was great, I would give it 9/10, but that doesn't make it perfect. Some things that bothered me was for one, Godzilla had no reason to go after those Moth creatures, so why did he? I know he said he was their predator, but he never ate them or anything, and immediately upon killing them, he goes right back to the ocean. Plus, couldn't he have just killed them when they were sleeping if he wanted? Another thing is the male moth should not exist because of natural selection. It was not needed in mating, as the female only requires radioactivity to lay young, it is much smaller and weaker than the females, so they aren't needed for reproduction at all, and their only real advantage is they would have to eat less and they have wings. They also had "Oh, these eggs are literally feeding from an atomic bomb and their parents survive nuclear explosions and feed from those? Welp, better kill the eggs with meager fire." AND IT WORKS! Those things could stand explosions, but fire wipes them out like ants. and even though I went on and on about negatives, I only found about 4 in this movie, which is definitely a world record for me. If you are up for intense movies, this is your kind of thing, and if not, you should still give it a shot, because I don't see there being many who didn't like the movie.
If you didn't already know.. Godzilla is pretty much mother nature and keeps the Earth at it's equilibrium. Meaning that when disaster/parasites, AKA the MUTOs, arise he is there to bring the Earth back to it's normal state. Pretty much you fuck with Earth and Godzilla will be there to fuck you up. And after destroying the parasites he goes back to the ocean until another threat appears.
The male is needed for reproduction. He is needed to fertilize the eggs. Sure, the female laid the young, but that's how a lot of things on this planet reproduce. The female lays her eggs and the male fertilizes them. It's external fertilization.
xXPhasemanXx Also, the male is actually stronger but you can't tell because of his size. Some people should remember the fighting scene in which he practically lifted Godzilla with his wings.
Stupid haters in the Comments saying the Movie was Bad ! It's the same as it was with Need For Speed everyone said the Movie Sucked but it was the best Movie to ever come out !
To comment on James saying it was weird how Watanabe said Godzilla.. I was told that he pronounced it that way on purpose since "Gojira" is Godzillas Japanese name and Wantanabes character, Dr. Serizawa, was a tribute to the Japanese films as Dr. Serizawa was in the original Godzilla film back in 1954.
I enjoyed it. 8/10 for me. Far better than most of the milked trash Japan put out featuring objectively poor aspects of cinema. Similar to the oirginal film from 1954, Godzilla is only in about 15% of the film and plays the role not of a hero or villain but instead a force of nature as he was originally written. Acting was good. Cinematography was divine. The visuals and special effects were superb. Good quality all around. Way better than Pacific Rim.
Haven't watched the video but in my opinion the movie was bad. They should have called it Brody the movie rather than Godzilla considering he is EVERYWHERE in the movie with his stale acting.
I feel like it was more of the writing and directings fault with his character... They didnt give him enough to say or emote... they made him a serious soldier instead of something with emotion... he was a dick to his dad and cared way too much about his job... yeah he could have done better but I dont believe he was given enough to work with
Acting: 9.5/10
Visual Effects: 10/10
Sound Effects: 9.5/10
Story: 9/10
Oscar worthy, IGN approves
Overall 8/10
***** Yup, sounds like something IGN would calculate out their arse.
One problem story should be around 2/10 in any monster movie otherwise it sucks eg this godzilla
Max Watson Yeah I agree the story wasn't too good, but you have to admit it was pretty damn American towards the end! (Which I thought was a good thing after 8192 hours of bad storytelling,)

:)
Exactly, but man... I needed more Walter White :(
Ok so for anyone who hasn't seen the Godzilla, godzillas scream is one of the loudest things you will ever hear in a theater. At least in the one I was in
Along with the exploding pop corn in the Edwards Cinema movie intro (if you've ever been in an Edwards Cinema theater).
+flyingpigs1120 lol that's where I went, and yeessss, I nearly went deaf from Godzilla, and I agree the popcorn is so freaking loud. My ears rung at some parts for my theatre, like I know they want it loud but for heavens sake
0:30 The Intro totally reminded me of the old Playstation game 'Rampage' Any of you remember that shit?! :D
That game was a beast (no pun intended
I thought I was the only one...I wanted to play it again but my disc broke...I feel like shit now cx.
Codech64 could have sworn Rampage was on cartridge.. not on disc. unless they re-released it or made a sequel that i missed lol
it's an arcade game from the 80's but yea i think it was on n64. i could have sworn it was on the master system as well cause i had it. though i'm not sure
***** I played it on the playstation 1 when I was young so yeah, it was both on n64 and ps 1.
Aleks nominated for best actor... ever
We need a spoiler version for every movie night from here on out.
Or just have a spoiler section in the same video. Just put it at the end and have a 10 second warning label.
Best Walter and Jessie acting ever
Best. Graphics. Ever.
And no I'm not trying to hate :)
Best. Profile Picture. Ever.
Zachary Benavides thanks :)
No Problem, PUG POWER!
And it doesn't even crash like BF4!
How dare you mention bf4, they're trying their best you sonavabitch
I'm not really being serious by the way
Incredible.
The VFX in the short, not the movie.
Wow, looks like the creatures really blew the budget with the special effects!
Seriously, this shit deserves an Oscar !
You know who doesn't deserve an Oscar? Oscar.
You know who really deserves an Oscar but never gets one?
Leonardo DiCaprio.
flyingpigs1120 you monster!
IvanKGB935 Nope.
IvanKGB935 people need to shut up about Leo, you know who else never won a single oscar?
Johnny Depp, Gary Oldman, Brad Pitt, Samuel L. Jackson and John Travolta.
10/10- "An emotional roller coaster trip with great visual effects"

RIP Balloons. You were touched by many Creatures.
this channel is RUclipss best kept secret
I was half expecting some Attack on Titan shit from Sly.
"TITAAAAAAAANS!!"
I'm glad I wasn't the only one expecting that.
Love how the camera is less shaky when Dan isn't controlling it.
James makes the perfect Jesse.
Weird as it is, I thought the noise Godzilla made was more awesome than the movie! xD no but seriously, good movie.
someone give The Creatures an OSCAR.
Best Godzilla movie EVER
If you've only seen the American ones. Graphics wise, it's the best. As for story and character, other godzilla's are better
These effects. So crisp. So great. So professional... they're bringing tears to my eyes :,)
nova sounds oddly similar to the real Jesse..
Sp00n does a fantastic Jesse impression too!
dint you see the Halloween stream marathon? he was acting as him for a while
GoNmanne11 i was only able to watch a bit so no :((((
Datte! yeah bich
Those were the best twitch sponsored special effects I've ever seen. 10/10 on that beginning skit, it was like Godzilla was really there!
Wait... If Ze is in colorado now... Will we see him in the X men movie trip? :D
They saw it last night I think, so it's safe to assume Ze will be in that trip... And short ;D
xXPhasemanXx yeah, i saw a tweet where Ze said he was wearing spandex :P Expect him to be an x men or something xD
michaelu1019 Could it be that he was in one of those full body blue spandex suits? #ZeAsRavenConfirmed
800k subscribers. Thank you creatures for everything you have done for us.
In this movie, Godzilla looks like a Tyrannitar, with the abilities of a Charizard.
More like the other way around. Godzilla came first
Not at all....
My moms been watching Days of our lives since she was a child, which was when it was new. I cant watch TV with her anymore she always puts it on that. *shivers*
hmmm... are danz and james teasing at the breaking bad minecraft series? o_O
Damn dude. I almost forgot about that supposed planned series...
They already said that wasn't happening.
It's a Breaking Bad reference because Bryan Cranston is in Godzilla
They made a ten minute skit that was better then the movie.
Much love
Intro still best intro. But I miss the scene where Koots punches James in the face. :C
You monster
Bosslynessing Johnny
What? It's hilarious. c:
Best movie night by far! special efffects ere superb
Jame's review of Godzilla 2014:
Good fights.
Good dog.
Good water.
Good explosions.
Good bombs...that cause explosions.
Good...uhh...teeth...roar...teeth.
That was the best short graphics by far! 10/10 would watch again
People who hate this movie went in thinking it would be exactly like pacific rim with monster fights every 20 minutes, this movie was amazing to me being a godzilla fan those who hated went in to the movie having the wrong idea
Dan was the star of that for me. I loved this short skit!
*SPOILER*
The only issue I had with this movie, was that the Japanese scientist talked in an almost perfect American accent, until it came to the point of him saying Godzilla, at that point he said "Godzirra", I found it kind of funny.

Altogether I give the movie a 9.5/10.
He said Gojira which is godzilla in Japanese
he may have said that because the name Godzilla is copyrighted I think
basket1099 They're making a movie about Godzilla..... they obviously have rights to use it's name hahahaha. Speaking of how the movie is called "Godzilla"
it was funny when he said godzilla
lol
That intro reduced me to tears, Oscar worthy 11/10
People getting mad at Godzilla not being in it often are amazingly stupid. ALL GODZILLA MOVIES HAVE HUMAN DRAMA! Tons of it matter of fact!
Fuck off.
Namesarefull Because people make ignorant comments without even having facts to back them up.
Yeah, and also everyone knows godzilla already, but there's another original creature and they focused on that because nobody knows what they are.
The human drama was cliche and bullshit and I'm not typing this just because I want more Godzilla.
If you want drama go see a film like The Kings Speech or a chick flick or something. We wanna see a giant monster destroy shit.
I just want to mention how awesome a job Dan did on the special effects XD
'Not as good as Pacific Rim' -____- God damnit Jordan....
The special effects used in the skit were so realistic I couldn't tell what was CG and what wasn't.
What ever happened to James yelling at people in the parking lot! Because that was really the only reason I watch the movie trip videos.
In the car, Koots and Dan are the parents and James,Sly,and Aleks are the kids causing trouble in the back:)
James somehow knew i skipped the skit :o
they look like they have so much fun together
Was I the only one that thought of Attack on Titan when Koots said they were gonna jump on the beast's back? (Cutting its neck that is)
All of there skits remind me of "Be Kind Rewind". I love it!
Let's play hide and go seek in the video. Your hint is "Bird Jesus". If you find it first you. Get a big bag of nothing :D
But I still have a big bag...that still counts as a prize...right?
This was by far the best creature short ever made.
I was waiting for this!
That was probably one of the best skits yet! xD Still laughing about the Breaking Bad scene. Also, nice editing Dan! Liked how it was a parody to the older and cheesier Godzilla movies.
Holy shit! Those special effects in the intro are fucking outstanding! :o
James u just brighten up my day so much! I hope u and the creatures keep on doing movie reviews! :)
Who would like to see Dan and James make a mini creature series of Breaking Bad ? or call it Fixing Good because of potential copyrights LOL
They were planning to actually make a Breaking Bad series in Minecraft after the Walking Dead...but was cancelled from what I've heard;(
They were suppose to do a minecraft breaking bad after their minecraft walking dead.....never came out. If the comedy gold that was in this skit would've been in the minecraft series, than we missed out on a great minecraft series.
the fight at the end of the skit was the best Godzilla vs King Kong movie ever.
The editing is real
by far the best movie that is out so far! loved godzilla and i'm seeing it again! Great movie! :D
Those editing skills.
after watching like every movie trip they did I still don't get their taste in movies… though I still love watching these trips and I'm always curious if they will like a movie or not!
I miss Nova yelling out the window at the end ;.(...
That was one of the best shorts yet, I came for the short and stayed for the movie.
How could they afford those CGI effects?
8:44 c'x
Dan, you did an amazing job of editing once again.
I love your shorts they remind me of something from the movie "Be Kind Rewind" was that something you were going for? dam dude I need to see this movie.
The cgi in this sketch was AMAZING!
Wait did Koots CURSE!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
I went and saw this movie on opening day and I can say yes the movie drags but the fighting scenes literally make up for the whole movie
I'm thinking that isn't the real Aaron Paul...
No, that's Paul Aaron. He does the stunts c:
the opening skit was so amazing and realistic!!! i cant believe that they have the editing skills to create such a masterpiece. i think it was better than the real godzilla!!!!
When they get to the part were the government or the people are like "were would all the radioactivity would be?" my friend whispers to me "Detroit".
Does anyone know why James stoped screaming at people? That was the best part of movie trips imo
I did skip the skit tho... i came to see what you guys thought about the movie not a 10 minute corny short
Dude the skit was amazing.... seriously, watch it.
Usually it cringes me out watching them, but this one was pretty amazing.
***** u dont have to be a fan to watch this get out of here shitface
The main reason I watch these videos is because of the skit haha
I'm not going to pull the whole "you're not a fan if..." statement. Part of their charm is the their corniness and their ability to make it entertaining. I would HIGHLY recommend you seeing this one in case you haven't.
BRAVO on the fantastic green screen work!
How did James know I skip the skit.... lol I almost always skip the skits tho
The Skits are the best part, listening to them drone on about their thoughts on the movie at the end is always boring
liam adlard I usually watch it all anyway, but if it drags on too long, I just stop watching lol
Lol funny cause for me it's like that with a lot of the skits
Alexandra Defreitas Opposites :p
Well I mean it works, you watch the skits, I watch the reviews :P
i love how there are movies with worse special effects than the ones in the starting skit
holy shit they got Oprah in their movie?!!
who else just watched this because it came out on "dvd" and you "legally" downloaded it ;D
I didn't watch the movie (yet), but THANKS SO MUCH for spoiling the fact that bryan cranston most likely dies in this f-cking movie!
Rofl, why don't you guys just make a spoiler-free AND a spoiler version?
Why did you look at this if you know it had to had some sort spoilers in there.
BlitzWare518 So far they've been pretty aware not to put any spoilers in the Movie Trip videos they put out, but for some reason they decided to allow one spoiler this time.
***** I'm not even mad, bro.
***** Nah, I'm just talking random crap on the internet. That's how people talk here, right?
***** Well then, you have a lot to learn, young grasshopper.
I'm waiting for one of the office building workers to take a picture of the Creatures in costumes doing something and posting it on Reddit.
That. That wasw the best thing ive ever seen
That intro was so real, i almost believed it was real. Lucky me with my trained eye.
holee shit how they get Tom Cruise on this?
RUclips money
cats
Watching this with subtitles makes it all more interesting.
In my opinion, there wasn't enough of Godzilla seen in the movie. But otherwise it was pretty good.
It was a typical Godzilla movie imo (Not in a bad way, I loved this movie). They usually don't show a whole bunch of Godzilla until the end, so I was satisfied that they stuck to how it has always been done.
xXPhasemanXx
their introducing godzilla duh
MilkingDe Cartridges I have no idea what you mean.
Best Remake EVER!! Lol I love these guys.
godzilla suppose to be the good guy
No he isn't...
Depends on which you are watching. He has been good, evil, and neutral. Most of the time not a good guy.
Godzilla was actually a good guy because in the movie did godzilla kill people yes but only on accident because he came to come and kill the muto to save the people and at the end he didn't kill the people because he was protecting them that's why he just went back into the water instead of attacking the people!!

Max Watson You're right, except for you're wrong and this movie rocks.
Too bad majority of people who dislike this movie expected to see a "Pacific Rim" type deal :/
As a godzilla fan thats watched most of the movies...this movie was actually better than expected

What does the fox say???
Wow, that short took a lot of work, great job guys!
Haven't watched the video but in my opinion the movie was bad. They should have called it Brody the movie rather than Godzilla considering he is EVERYWHERE in the movie with his stale acting.
How the fuck can you judge a movie without watching it?
SeanTheGamer He hasn't watched THIS video, but he's watched the movie.

***** Ah woops. My bad. Didn't read it correctly.
I feel like it was more of the writing and directings fault with his character...
They didnt give him enough to say or emote... they made him a serious soldier instead of something with emotion... he was a dick to his dad and cared way too much about his job... yeah he could have done better but I dont believe he was given enough to work with
intro is still better than any scify channel movie
