Before installing the new motor, I recommend taking the back off and packing it with as much grease as you can to avoid future corrosion. The shonky design of these wiper motors affects all VAG cars as eventually washer fluid will leak into the internals. The extra grease will vastly prolong the life of the motor. It worked for me.

Awesome thanks - will be fixing mine shorty - only tricky bit is needing the puller tool - good to know that before you start the job...

I think I got that from eBay... top tip, soak it with WD40 the night before you attempt to take it off lol... if all else fails you'll have to get the angle grinder out

Do you have any video on how to repair the automatic tailgate? Mine doesn't latch by itself anymore. I always have to push the outside button (handle) just before it closes in order to latch itself. I tried to adjust the hook inside and everything but i can't figure it out what's wrong and i couldn't find any video on this topic

Ooh, no, sorry, I've not had that problem, your best bet is to ask on the forums and Facebook groups

How does your lid close so slowly and quietly. When I bought my C6 avant, it was described as common issue with those electrically closing trunks, that it slams hard, when it closes. Have you modified anything or do you have more powerful gas springs?

They're the original struts, I guess they're just in really good condition. If it slams hard then I think you need new ones... Unfortunately, Audi main dealer ones will obviously be best, I'm sure the cheaper Chinese ones will fail shortly after installing them lol

Broke my cover because it has two additional Torx 20 screws behind the hatch.

Oh no! Maybe mine had been off before and not put back on properly!
