I know they are making a series out of this, but in all honesty, I wish they would just get the team behind Arcane, Castlevania or Vox Machina to make an mature animated long form series of this series.
5:40:38 here starts the lady of shadows part 1 After a long pause. 5:50:13 here it start part 8 Theres huge chuck of the novel missing. Be careful. It wont make any sense.
Confusing for first time listeners, but, you get what you pay for ;) The paper backs are really cheap in 2024. Worth it to pick one up, read the few chapters, and keep going here.
Stephen King is so tight he squeaks . God forfend he should allow any of his novels to be available without ads or in its original form. I’m so disappointed in him, after being his constant reader for fifty years. Shame on you, Mr. King

Something is missing from the lady of the shadows part. The whole chapter. It jumps from part 2 to part 7 in detta and Odetta. Maybe 6 parts are missing foem it. Its confusing, match it with paper book or ebook. Alot is missing Around the last hour of this part.

Noticing an obvious change in someone's eye color would be memorable, especially if they are sitting right next to you. But it seems like a common writer thing to zoom in on eye colors when describing their characters. Eye color is also on our driver's licenses, and has been used as part of our identity in various ways throughout history.
If you don't look in people's eyes when you speak to them or you are blind or perhaps have a cataract then yes. Otherwise noticing the color of one's eyes I would say is very normal almost instinctual. Wake up and pay attention.
@@ferronbeast1368 It's always better to find out through a third party. That's how I found out that Paul was seeing Denise. One of my coworkers informed me that she saw he holding hands with another woman other than me at the beach. Unfortunately, there were no doors and Roland was not involved.
I remeber reading this when i was a kid. I just didnt remember why i disliked it. Now i remember. The entire modern world part of this book was a total turn off, and is what made me lose interest in this series. Im going to continue to listen to the audio book because i have nothing to do at work. I loved the first book. And the departure from that world to the modern world, is just a total turn off.
Yeah. Definitely keep going. Most fans have a hard time with the Gunslinger. But every book is great in its own way. Especially with folding all his other works and characters into the story. Ever wonder why 19 is so prolific in his novels? It explains it here. Ever wonder what Pennywise was? You'll find out here. Etc. Also, each is almost a different style of book. Wizard & Glass is a coming of age / romance book. Wastelands dives more into Rolands "moved on" version of his world showing more of the past tech and similarities with ours. 5, 6 and 7 get into some heavy 4th wall breaking meta and bounce all over the place. The series is unlike anything else King has written.
Frank Muller. Injured in a motorcycle accident that he eventually died from. I'm not sure but I think he passed in 2006. One of Stephen Kings favorite narrators. He also did many others. Like Interview of the vampire. Moby Dick, A Christmas Carol and many other Stephen King books.

Please post part 2 and other books of the series 🥺 and thank you soo much for this ❤
Great narration of this awesome chunk of the Dark Tower series, much love for the upload!
The narrator eeriely sounds like George Carlin....

Perfect 👌🏾
That would be amazing. Awesome to find out they're making a dark tower series, I hope they do it justice and don't change it completely to make it pc.

I was reading along side the audiobook, and the hard cut to Eddie and Roland surprised me.

Is it common to scrutinize a person's eye color? Because I never once did that in my entire life.

No lol.
In this case the flight attendant noticed his eyes because she thought he was cute and then her job training kicked in

I read these years ago. There’s no ending waited and waited. Now 42years later it’s here. I feel degusted. Why why now? What’s the point?
The final book came out years ago. Maybe 2010. What do you mean?
You realize the series had an ending?
@ yes there is one now. Thank you for sharing
