At 74, I've been experiencing shortness of breath after very slight activity. My finger blood oxygen level would always read between 92 to 94%. After finding this video my breathing is getting better and my blood oxygen is staying between 94% and 96%. Thank you so much!

My mom and I had both gotten really bad Covid pneumonia back in November, and our lungs were so weak and damaged afterwards, even breathing felt like a chore. My mom ended up finding your videos, and we did these exercises together. All I can say is, thank you so much for posting this!! You made so much of a difference in our lives and these exercises were imperative to helping our lungs recover! :) Still do them every now and then to help strengthen my lungs!

I’m glad you and your mom doing ok . I know but never told me anyone do exercise for lung . Thanks for sharing your experience. My friend her daughter got Covid February 2022 , she is 15 years old . And she cough a lot . And doctor Sid 75 % of her lung works . We are just praying and trusting Lord . This is evil virus as the person made or government allowed to go all over the world . Will be judged one day by God taking life of human bin . Like Hitler took away human lives . Hope always be strong and healthy

I can't thank you enough. I had childhood asthma and have terrifying memories of struggling to breath. Unfortunately the asthma has returned in my golden years and your videos have been a lifesaver. You are a regular part of my every evening regimen. When I feel an attack coming on, I immediately use the tools you've given me and calm down. I wish there were more than the four videos. Thanks!

This video series is from 10 years ago but is definitely one of the most helpful I've seen. I'm 60, with COPD and almost died due to bacterial pneumonia 14 months ago. For years previously, I had ignored all exercises. That hospitalisation was a wake-up call to be more proactive.
I'm encouraged by the comments here, and will continue doing the exercises in this series. Don't know whether it's just my imagination, but I do feel my breathing is better than it was after doing just the exercises from two videos here. Let's see how it goes after a longer period.

Thank you* These each made absolute sense* Especially ...you're reminding us... as to when to breathe in or breathe out. It's April 2022...and we three, each had some sort of respiratory "crud" that all Doctors in this area of Washington state are saying is not Covid...but some sort of "allergy" or" influenza" ...even though none of us have any allergies. This lasted for a little over 2 weeks, and was pretty scary at times...when we were coughing and could not get a breathe without starting another dry coughing session. Our oxygen saturation levels were...between lower 90s and sometimes high 80s. So now we are trying to do breathing exercises* We are all between ages 67 and 71+.

Thank you for this video. Very good.
I am doing 2 similar growth hormone exercises I would like to share.
The first one uses two 5-pound hand dumbells. I sit on the edge of a bed or couch holding the dumbells up at shoulder height. I next rise, pushing the dumbells up as high as I can reach and simultaneously inhaling deeply through my nose.
Then I sit down, letting the dumbells down back to shoulder height and blowing the air out of my lungs as hard as possible. I repeat this for 1 minute, about 20 - 30 reps. This is burst exercise and this is said to release growth hormone. Do this once per hour.
In the next one, I sit on the bed holding two 15 pound weights down next to the bed. I rise, pulling the weights up towards my arm pits as far as comfortable, inhaling through my nose.
Then I sit, lowering the weights and blowing the air out as hard as possible.
    I am 79.

I started doing this lung exercise bc I'm a or was a very inactive peson and I decide to start working out this year but I found that I had a ridiculous shortness of breath in even the beginners simplest workouts like I had to stop the workout to breathe every 2 minutes. I surprisingly can tell a difference in doing it for a few days when not working out so that I don't feel as weak when I do,thanks so much !

Thank you so much. This is the best lung exercise I have found but you must be consistent and everyday exercises to reap the rewards for breathing remember consistence is the key thank you

    Hello,
I am so grateful for you sharing these exercises with us. I am using them as much as I can and they help me .I am trying to work on clearing my lungs. I went to Pulmonary Rehab and that helped. They gave me a lot of pointers. I am in a situation with keeping my weight up. I went to Web MD and found some high calorie foods. Thank You sooo much.

Really excellent, especially when you watch the internet and realize it's good to stop and do some exercises! Thank you so much! (I suffer with bronchiectasis and have been very ill several times in hospital. Doctors give me the necessary Intra Venous drugs. Then when I go out of hospital, I go to the gym, as well as doing the RUclips lung exercises. Bookmark this, it's vital!

I use the BreatheEasy Lung Expander to keep my lungs wide open and have no signs of my childhood asthma anymore. My sleep improved too! It’s on Amazon for about $20.
