I'm thinking Conor body cant handle training for a fight anymore. Its been so long and with all the drinking and slacking off his body just cant handle hard training. There has been little footage of him training. The footage that has been seen is him in bars pouring pints, Him sitting on a sofa slating other fighters an then him out parting. That doesn't look like a guy who is keen to get back fighting. This could well be a marketing thing but news have came out that ESPN has pulled all the adverts for this fight down. Many felt that this fight would not happen and it has came true.

The show will go on but I remember back in 2016 when 196 was orignally to have been Fabricio vs Cain for the world heavyweight championship and it fell out 2 weeks before and Stephen Thompson vs Johnny Hendricks was booked as UFC Fight Night 82. Even if Max steps up, how can you justify it as 80 bucks. Micheal Chandler would need to be paid big time if Conor falls out. He has literally put his life on pause for 18 months for a fight that may not happened. The fact they told Chandler not to fly over is concerning. The fact we cant no longer preorder the ppv and they removed all of Conors fights from youtube, its cancelled. UFC didnt want to give us a double whammy. I feel like once they get something lined up they will tell us. its not that they have too many cards, James. Every time Conor has fought, no champions have been booked, the card has appeared to be weak on paper so Conor has the world revolving around him.
Chandler wouldn’t need to paid compensated at all. As sad as it is, he’s the one who chose to sit out and wait for a fight everyone knew was never 100% guranteed.

If they are going to have a replacement fight I think it should be jiri vs pereira 2 if they are ready to fight or ankalaev

Also thanks for the summation of what was going on with Conor. I didn’t see all the Conor l fights being pulled off RUclips. I buy my PPVs via Amazon so I’ll wait and see on Sat night if anything shows up.
If that's the case i dont think one single fight can save/justify the prices they charged fans for those tickets they need to add at least 2 big fights to that card Max vs. Chandler for BMF co- main AND Alex vs. Jiri main event 🤷🏾♂️

I think if it falls out the only option is to pay Izzy and diplessis an insane amount of money to make a worthy headliner I don’t think there are many other options at this point tbh

Conor is probably impossible to work with, now more than ever because, as Dana said, Conor doesn't need to fight. Does anyone really think he's been easy to get something done with him the last year and a half? I'd be willing to bet most of the reason it's been put off is on Conor.

I wouldn't be surprised if Conor didn't survive a fight camp at this point. The roids drugs and alcohol have killed many before because their hearts gave out. Imagine going cold turkey and going in a hard camp after twitching a month ago. Still needing to sniff alcohol every 5 mins, yeah never sounded like a guy that was about to comeback.
The card will happen but Conor isn't fighting. There has been very little videos of Conor training. Before his fights he would post up videos of him training. All he has done is sat on a sofa slated other fighters, Talked about how he wants to drink and then a video of him parting. ESPN wouldn't pull all the ads down it if the fight wasn't happening. It cost lots of money to pull the ads down on a fight that is happening. Word is that Conor is injured. Think Conor started to train again but his body just couldn't do it and his mindset doesn't want it. Its hard to get back to full training when he has been out for as long as he has.

Still on. UFC doesn't want to pump up a fighter with a presser in another country if Conors is asking to leave in 2025. They probably told him you're going to get the same fight week media like the rest of the roster if you're not going to be with us much longer. Conor didn't cancel it was the UFC because Dana wanted to negotiate a new contract in person with Conor but conor wasn't with it so UFC said fine well cancel it and see you fight week.

With inflated tick prices, our flights, and hotel, I'd rather just have a refund. We were willing to overlook most of this card understanding Conor getting paid but UFC would need to drop 3 mains down to prelims and reload the main card to justify the cost. This card is a glorified fight night, not good enough.
