Yes the jack o lantern lunch bags were definitely a thing! My Mom used to line our driveway with them when I was a kid in the 80s. The cool thing is she still had some and gave them to me and I line my driveway with them now on Halloween night! I found some at Party City to add to hers a few years ago. They have a flame retardant coating on them so I use real tea light candles to light them up. I love it that one of her favorite traditions has become mine! You’re so right.. it’s all about the memories! Thanks for sharing all these beautiful things!🎃
Thank you!!!!! I knew I wasn't losing my mind haha, I was born on the east coast and now living on the west coast so it's definitely not a thing here in the fall lol. How AMAZING that you have those memories and she passed those down to you 🥹 very special! Thank you for sharing your memories with me. I loveeeee it ❤🎃✨
I just found your channel and have watched all of your videos (it reminds me of my Nanny that passed away in 2015, she always decorated with stuff like this). I absolutely love the idea about the village with the candy on Halloween morning for your son. It would be such a fun tradition to start with him! The first pumpkin blow mold is so cute and perfect for inside and i really love the little ghost with the pumpkin on his head (i was born in 86)! 👻🎃 Really love your collection that you're starting and can't wait to watch more of your videos! ❤
This means the world, I sooo appreciate it! Thank you for sharing that about your nanny. I think it’s so beautiful you have memories like that. That’s exactly what I’m trying to make with my little family (I never had them growing up and always swore I would make them for mine ❤️) I’m looking forward to sharing more of my finds and building up a collection for sure, I’m excited to officially start decorating in a month or so and take you guys alongside to see what you think!! Thank you for watching my videos, and commenting and sharing your thoughts, I love it so much! 🥹❤️
Yes, the paper bag jack o lanterns existed. We also had jack o lantern bags that we'd fill with dried leaves to make a huge pumpkin decor outside our lawn.
Yesssss thank you! Oh my gosh I forgot about those lawn bags 🥹 I wish I had more of a fall where I live now because I would totally stuff leaves in those!!
to eliminate the heat from the old bulb, simply replace it with a 1 watt led from walmart. They are just as bright, if not brighter, than the old 7 watt bulbs that get hot. you can also get a new cord and light for the pumpkin at michaels or craft stores. they are sold to light up ceramic villages
Can’t believe you only have 500 subs you deserve wayyy more I found your videos recently and I ADORE them you’re so pretty and I love your voice and vintage Halloween content so much I’ve watched all the Halloween videos you’ve posted by now!! 💗
Oh my gosh 😭 This completely made my day! I appreciate this more than you know ❤️ THANK YOU! I’m excited to keep posting and take you guys with me this holiday season decorating the house with my vintage items and making lots of diy’s & recipes as well! 🥹🎃🎄❤️ Thank you so much again for the support!
Thank you @@theholidayclassics, but that’s a hard one to answer! 😂 I do love Christmas, but Halloween is my favorite holiday! 🧡 With that said, there’s something magical about the vintage Santa and Christmas Blow Molds though! 🎅🏼
Just found your account and I'm in love with your vintage collections! I hope I have some luck this seasons at the thrifts to find some great vintage pieces as well!
I had an issue with and old light strip and a Jack 'O Lantern.. changed all the burnt bulbs and nothing.. ended up being a fuse in the connection cord and that got everything going
In love! The ceramics my experience with that type that real candles will give black stains and get really hot. Does this happen with these cute ones as well?
Oh interesting! I only lit them for a few minutes and didn’t see any residue, but I plan on only using LED tea lights anyway to be safe. But I’m so happy you commented this because I was not aware and that makes me want to use the LED tea lights even more to preserve them!

@@theholidayclassics I still did change the bulb on the lantern for a new one, cause like you said, the old ones get crazy hot…
