Essential oils: doterra.me/lj5mydHx
Silicone Molds: amzn.to/2YabO5R
Bath BombMolds: amzn.to/2XjfrK5
RECIPE:
INGREDIENTS
1 cup baking soda
1/4 cup citric acid
1 tablespoon liquid soap (You can use my homemade kind or any brand you have on hand.)
30 drops essential oils (My favorites are lemon and wild orange.)
Bath bomb molds or silicone molds
Spray bottle
INSTRUCTIONS
Mix the baking soda and citric acid together in a mixing bowl and stir well.
Add essential oils in the bowl and mix well.
Pour the liquid soap into a spray bottle and mist the powder mixture with it. You want to get the mixture wet enough that it holds together when you squeeze it together, but not soaked.
Press the mixture into a small bath bomb or silicon mold.
Allow the mixture to completely dry overnight or until harden.
Pop the toilet cleaning bomb out of the mold and store in an airtight container or bag.

Can we just thank how after 2 years she still reply’s and likes
Awww thanks!!
I've made toilet bombs for years. Like them a lot ! I started out putting the mixture in molds....& while that is fun & looks kinda cool, it also means the mixture has to be just right so it will hold the shape of the mold. That can be just a little bit tricky sometimes. So ! To simplify things, I just mix all the dry ingredients & some essential oil....make it smell good ! in a container w/a lid & have a container w/a scoop inside in both bathrooms. All I have to do is scoop some mixture, empty the scoop into the toilet & ta da ! Easy peasy.
I've also used kitty treat containers that have a lid w/a little flip opening....I hold onto the lid to make sure it doesn't pop off, then just shake a little mixture into the toilet.
I like your suggestion a lot!
@@fdoeppen Happy to share! 😄
Thanks but why no lid on your container?
@@simone2787 there IS a lid. 🙂
What a good idea to use soap dish and not water ! 👌 Thanks for sharing 💖
great idea and fast making of these toilet cleaners
I'm get my EBT food stamps tomorrow and I'm going to go to the grocery and see if I can find citric acid and if it can be covered by EBT and if it is, then I'm absolutely going to make this right away!
Great I can't wait to make this thank you 😊♥️
Thanks great quick well described clear instructions thank you
👍🏻thanks for the non toxic cleaner
You are welcome!
very helpful thank you for sharing !
Always such helpful info. Thank you.
You're welcome!
This is awesome! Thanks for sharing.
You're welcome!
Excellent ❤
Are these oils safe for septic tanks? I always have to double check ingredients when buying or making cleaning products to ensure it doesn't cause problems with our septic tank.
Hi i made for the first time some Toilet bombs yesterday and they turned out amazing. But I wonder if you can use Fragrance Oil aswell instead of Essential Oil. And can
you use something else for the Fairy Liquid?
This is great but how does this clean under the rim?
If you didn't want to make the bomb, how much of the powder would you put in the toilets and would it work the same?
Can you also put these boms in the cistern ♥️
Can dish soap be used for this recipe?
Made a mistake with the coke it stained the toilet and didn't get rid of lime scale so I put boiling water down with salt and washing up liquid, scrub scrub scrub which got rid of lime scale but not the coke stain, what does it to yr insides and yr teeth.
Interesting. Could I just say I was hoping for a demonstration putting one on the toilet to see how much its fizzes up. Many thanks fir the video though.
Why are you using liquid soap?? You need sodium percarbonate (Oxy-clean will work too) and white vinegar as binder. For foam, add SLSa. I make a killing off these things!
Where can I find the recipe for your liquid soap?
May I ask, what is the best way to keep/store this product? Any recommendations? Thank you😊
I just put mine in a glass jar that my hand fits into lol
Can u keep these in a plastic container?
Instead of citric acid?
Hi Laura!!! Any recommendation for a toilet tank bomb?
Great idea! Let me work on that and I will post a recipe soon! Thank you!
@@ouroilyhouse is that recipe out yet?
@@nobodynothing2594, also wondering
You can use my toilet bombs for your tank.
Hi Laura ...
I've tried making my toilet bombs with your recipe but mine keeps on breaking / crumble and when I do the round bombs tthey split in the middle where I join them ... or some of them expand ... please advise me ... 😢 where am I going wrong
can you use castile soap for spraying?
I have never tried that, it is very concentrated and I would probably stick to the water.
I have a question. How long should these stay in a silicone mold (I don’t have bath bomb ones on hand). Ty!
Until fully dry, about 24 hours.
I have a question about the liquid soap ingredient in a spray bottle. Do I add water to the liquid soap so it can spray? I think liquid soap in the spray bottle by itself cannot be sprayed because it is too thick. If so, how much soap and how much water? Thanks.
Yes you can add water!
how would you store them?
You can keep them in a mason jar or a ziplock bag. They hold together really well so its not to hard to store them.
❤️
What was in the Instant POt? I love my Instant Pots
Probably dinner for the evening. Maybe it was a recipe we need to learn about...
Doesn't the baking soda neutralize the cleaning power of the citric acid?
You want them to react when they get wet in the bowl. Its what makes them fizz. But you could probably just clean the toilet with straight baking soda
Do you have a link for your bath bomb molds?
Yes, in the description box!
You could also use an ice tray to mold them in
Have you tried making them with Purify?
YES! That is one of my favorite ones for cleaning! It would be a great one for this recipe.
I am not familiar with Purify. What is it and where do you get it?
@@carolmiller6713 It is an essential oil blend from doTERRA. It is great for getting smells out of things!
@@thicket - Thanks!
Essentially Handmade What else do you use Purify on?
I don't want to make it, I want to buy it. 😁
who wants to see this in action*

Hi l tried this and it didn’t foam at all it sunk straight to the bottom. could it be my baking soda was flat? I made is as watching this video l will purchase more baking soda and try again I had the other one for six months bought it and one of those big stores. Hopefully it will work this time 😒
Oh man I am so sorry they didn't work! Hmmmm yes maybe so! Mine were really fizzy and completely dissolve. Did your eventually dissolve?
Carol Jean
She doesn’t put enough citric acid in her recipe, you can use Lemon juice instead of citric acid which is cheaper. For citric acid use a cup to cup and a half with 1 cup of baking soda. Don’t use water mix in a a tablespoon to 2 tablespoons of dish soap along with a tablespoon of oxy clean. Use a cup of lemon juice if you don’t want citric acid . About 20-30 drops of any essential oils each. Mix well and put in ice cube trays. You can lay overnight or put in freezer for 3-4 hrs if it isn’t foamy enough add a little more juice
@@ouroilyhouse Laura, my cousin Barbara and I love you! We watched your video yesterday and made 8 batches of these toilet bombs. We had a ball! However, our bombs are sinking and not fizzing either!😪 If we crush them they work great but it defeats the purpose of an easy clean. So we would really like to figure out why it didn't work. I'm assuming the bombs need to be porous and light weight. Do you think we should have used more or less soap? Maybe we shouldn't have packed the molds so much?
@@amandastanush7522 you should omit the liquid soap and use sodium percarbonate (Oxy-clean will work). Use vinegar as binder and add SLSa for foam.
They don’t set they start fizzing and go out of the mold
this sounds great but i would like to have seen you actually use the bombs in the toilet so we can actually see how they work
I have video of that in my "clean with me"
videos!
I've just thrown half bottle of coke down the pan, someone said it works so gonna leave it all day long.
Hmmm never heard that!
Better than drinking it. Haha
Can you write all the ingredients.
You can always find all the written instructions on my blog! Here is the link: www.ouroilyhouse.com/homemade-toilet-cleaning-bombs/
if you do not show a test, i m not sure it works
The guy who dropped the bomb must be celebrating in his grave!
first off, dont add your citric acid until after you've thoroughly mixed your liquids into your baking soda... If you mix the citric acid and baking soda, then add liquid it acitvates the "fizzy sound" and that means your bomb is half ruined.. I dont know where you learned to make bath bombs by mixing the liquids that way but your totally wrong.. sorry to burst your bubble but your wrong, and teaching this is also wrong.
My mixer just keeps on Rising and Rising it is not solidifying at all, is there anyway to fix it?
@Daisy Amezcua citric acid should be the final ingredient you add after all other ingradients are mixed. This video shows her activating her ingredients prematurely. This video is showing what NOT TO dO
