Cheers for another reaction video guys, it's nice to be featured on the show again! Thank you to the people voting for the song as well, I really appreciate that :)
Some background info for that intro buildup and song, in case anyone else is also wondering why it is the way it is: Shylmagoghnar is a solo project, so it comes with my personal quirks. I like doing this thing where the music forms a descriptive narrative, moreso than the more commonly used song structures/loopbacks you mentioned.
In this case, that narrative is that the protagonist of the album is dying, and in his mind he travels through a strange land, where he is unsure where to go. There, a river is forming from tiny mountain streams (this is where this song starts). Once it becomes powerful enough to take him along (right around the mark you were referring to), his journey can truly begin.
Many of the fans of this project enjoy listening for these hidden stories and details between the instruments, so the albums are made with that in mind.
It was interesting to me how your descriptions of what you felt (estranged, wondering where things are going and then losing track of time once it all became clear) were exactly the emotions I imagined the protagonist of the album would be feeling in that moment. It made me wish that I was there to tell you that, cause I would have loved to hear more of what you thought about the parts after. In any case, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you kindly, and yes it is! A slightly amalgamated version of the ouroboros which I saw in a dream while this album was in production. He told me he would bite if I didn't put him on the cover, so here we are.

I remember picking this in unknown melodeath or something like that site. It was so hard to pronounce that i had to to pick it. Needless to say that new material is more than welcome.

@@derekk8523 It takes time for sure, but it's all in the approach... and refusing to believe that you cannot do something ;) As for symphonic elements, some of them are real instruments, some are played in with synthesizers. If it's a guitar, bass, drum, piano, violin or flute, it's played on a real instrument.
