I am the guy who asked you for a signature after Round 8 and I spent most of the time watching your endgame and boy it was an extremely difficult game to play. You definitely show me (and the opponent) the fighting spirit and tried different ideas to make it playable. It was a tough game and tournament but hope you enjoy Grenke Open!
Thank you so much for your words! I would definitely play the tournament again, it's cool to be able to see mistakes as a chance to improve rather than getting just frustration from them. It makes chess more fun for me, but it's very very hard to apply 😅
I agree with you. Chess engines don’t play positional chess as well as they attack. Often times to take is a mistake. Allows opponent to advance when recapturing.
Hi Alessia, thanks your videos are a lot of fun. i will look into the bluetooth chessboard you mentionned it could be useful too Yes i agree playing against kids in tournaments is tough!
Oh no I’m out of theory I have to think now! …hmmm wasn’t Bobby Fischer right, this chess is a memory competition, I might as well try to memorise the first 100 decimal places of pi, surely Fischer random is the way to go 😳 Does anyone notice this, it’s very strange
Firstly, well done for completing your course in the tournament. You won't always win but the value from entering is the experience of how the environment feels and an understanding of what it will take to succeed there, for example being able to keep a particular mindset so that you can use your skills to your best ability. I hope that you enjoyed your experience and that you can pick out areas to work on for improving on your experiences in future. Thank you for all of the content 😊
It also sucks when their parents are watching. This past weekend I had a game against a 2000 kid that was 11 years old and once he saw my mate in 4 he stalled his clock for almost 30 minutes just sulking and on the verge of cheers. I couldn’t look his mother in the eye. Although it was awkward- she should maybe teach him sportsmanship?

In chess, age is just a number. I found that the hard way 😂😂😂
Learned that 25 yrs ago; yep!
Oh even more interesting, kids are much more creative and dangerous..
Girl I think you are making pretty good content these days
Really appreciate it!

5:46 -- en passant, let's gooooooooooooo!!!! 😤💪🏾 BTW, that first match you ended up on the short end of illustrates how greed can lead to your doom.

Respect for the suffering.
Wow.
But you could complain afterwards for bad sportmanship I guess. If you wanted.
Maybe they do, not always easy to be a parent and expect your kid to act like you want…
I used to do that online when I was around 16-17. Stopped doing that because it also wastes my time.
Great video’s Alessia! Keep it up
When a human breaks a record. The new generation discovers that it’s possible and they set a new bar.
Thanks for another awesome video. I'm looking forward to your next videos.
