I was in Bristol the same time Pyrion was there (flew in for The Longest Johns gig). I actually saw him at the pub and he was talking to us but I was too shy to actually say hi and out myself as a Triforce fan. Really regret that.
Yeah I noticed he deployed the "I don't know enough about that to comfortably offer a view" card multiple times. I get the impression he read a comment/email that complained a about him having ill informed opinions and now he's using that line to get back at them. I mean I'm not saying I like ill informed hottakes, but the Triforce (and indeed the other Yogs podcasts like Zero Degrees) would be pretty boring without them 😂😂
I haven't laughed as hard as I did in recent Triforce episodes as I did at the part about the Amazon Fresh AI - Sips giggling in the background as well made it top tier content. Also surprised to learn that Pflax was suppose to attend the France thing. Sad to know that we potentially missed the amount of malding that would take place over the course of 13 hours
when people say it's "not a good time to have kids" they mean for them, personally. They're not talking historically. Ie: financially, for them, it's not a smart idea at the moment.
A bit late to the party here, but Flax's description of "Amazon Fresh" stores near the end of the podcast is actually the "Amazon Go" store(s). Personally, if it was truly automated, the tech would be _incredible_ and would be great for corner shops. "Amazon Fresh" stores are literally just a normal grocery store - complete with normal checkout with normal employees. They have "self-checkout" built-in to the carts which can streamline some things since you can just scan shit as you pick it up while shopping (using your Amazon account). Generally the shopping experience was similar to Safeway (US chain) or for you guys in the UK, a Tesco (not that I've been to a Tesco to compare).
I don't know if I'd agree that this is the best time to raise kids, medically sure, but in a lot of western countire swhat future will the kids have? In the past you dealt with surviving, but atleast in surviving you still had down time, time to be creative and explore nature. Now you work till you die, retirement ages are being pushed back, in a lot of places where there are job oppurtunituies it takes 10-15+ years to just afford the 20% downpayment let alone paying off the mortgage before you retire (if you can retire). In the 60s - early 2000s you could afford a future and a retiurement, its not the same right now for a lot of western young families.
Pyrion is right about post covid restaurant working. The companies realized they can get most of the same work done with less employees, making fewer do the job that in the past, many were able to do together.
Pyrion's correct. Social behavior (I'm not talking criminal, just general human decency) bottomed out after lockdown. Half of us long term customer facing workers have just given up. Why would I want to deal with a public that constantly feels they can get their way through being hideously aggresive? Get fu&%ed I just want to live on a small island in the Pacific at this point.
I tried a can of Heinz beans just because the can is so iconic by now. It was not good, to put it mildly. Probably the cheapest "tomato" sauce I've ever had.
There is a local gas station I frequent that have an auto register and it does know all the products I'm the store no need to scan just set them on the counter and instantly it shows them on the screen with the total
Why does Pyrion keep saying “I’m not an expert” 😂 I didn’t come to the triforce podcast for expertise. If Joe Rogan can talk shit with no regard, why can’t P-Flax?
Pyrions going on about how it’s the best time to have kids despite ignoring the fact that his kids will most likely live with him well into their 30s and 40s because the “poor boomers” have destroyed all younger generations chance of property ownership
@@Einomar oh no! I love sips he’s great but sometimes he doesn’t let the other 2 speak and he repeats the same things a lot. I’m sorry if I displayed-that incorrectly
A full hour and three minutes of dad chat. Thank you chaps
Dad* chat
55:00 Pflax broke me with that "is this a butterfly" meme reference, just perfectly describing the state of "AI"

Pyrion's breakfast review sounds like what Americans think British cuisine is.
Pyrion this episode be like: no comment

I like just having a backlog of these to pick at my leisure
watching these at work while stifling my laugh is the fuckin best

What is this “im not an expert” bit a reference to?😂

Goddamn that jelly bean briefcase had me rolling
A truly amazing episode. The series feels honestly timeless in a way and I love it.

My comment last week feels completely validated by this

I watch in bed round 12 before sleeping always makes me laugh before bed
goodnight bro
hope you had a good night's sleep
How care you waste this gem of a podcast while sleeping? I use it for my two-hour morning walks on my days off.
I wanna go back to the 90s

Like the clap, the gift that keeps on giving
We’re so back

Hell yeah you guys thanks
So glad sips was the one excited for the fallout TV show. He knew.
Yeah that ai boom give us new wave of Mechanical Turks.
don't wanna be the guy who drops the poot-case... That's a one way ticket out a 6th floor window, for sure!
This podcast is making me hungry
Pyrion “I’m gonna have to sit this one out” Flax. So old he doesn’t want to have anything to do anything now bless him
Philippines mentioned!!! 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🦅
Oh baby, another banger

F*** that
I agree with Pyrion about sandwich sandwich. Had it once at it was vile, soggy and far too big. I don't understand the hype
if i don’t get my stupid triforce stim every week

And that's just talking about housing issues, which is only one of many worsening ones.
3 body problem was amazing, I also watched it in like two days, my only problem is it’s such a fucking tease
You could always read the books to find out what happens next 😘
Pyrion's presence has really widdled the views down over the years hasn't it.
3 body problem was dope, much better than the fallout shitshow.
pyrion thinks that, historically, people didn’t know how reproduction happened…😂😂😂
I mean, historically, there are STILL people who don't know how babby is formed...
There was one king of france who didn't realise the man had to climax for baby to be formed
they didn't figure it out until the late 1800s. look it up.
Sips Makes Me angry his input has only gotten worse and his tangents are long. I do love him but still
Aww you get angry that he has a different opinion then you :(.
He is a lazy bum.
