I literally been eyeing Starbucks stock for a while now, Loading up on cash to buy!
Thx for the vid. Have both $MCD & $SBUX in my portfolio and when it comes to coffee $MCD is my go to (it's also my go to QSR). I'm still eyeing $SBUX in order to nibble away at it but would also love to add more $MCD if it had even more of a pull back as I'm already up quite a bit on that stock (especially after factoring in TR). I tend not to really buy much from $SBUX and whenever I do it's usually from gift cards other people give me, I obviously prefer making money off of people who spend all that money at $SBUX, lol.
Good video. Ever since I stopped just eating out and going to a coffee shop and focused on investing I now see going out to buy a $0.50 coffee a luxury and if I want to get a coffee at a place or eat out I make it a rule that I must have shares of that company paying me a dividend that will pay for it.
The thing about the SBUX balance sheet is that you can back out $9.5 billion of its "debt" because it is long term leases (accounting rules changed in the past few years that forced companies to book long term leases on the balance sheet as debt). Also they have $6 billion of deferred revenue, which is really cash loaded onto the SBUX app by customers. So if you factor in these two large "debt" amounts as simply part of the operating business, which is relatively stable, the debt really isn't nearly as problematic as one might initially think.
I bought these heavy during the Covid crash.. rotated them into voo awhile back. Amazing how much McDonald’s has run up. Sbux, has barely moved in price since then!
I know nothing about trading /investment and l'm keen on getting started. What are some strategies to get started with?
As a beginner, it's essential for you to have a mentor to keep you accountable. I'm guided

The first step to successful investment is figuring your goals and risk tolerance either on your own or with the help of a financial professional but it's very advisable you make use of professional
As an sbux holder i was wondering wtf. Thanks for your work.
Bullish on Starbucks 💪
Bucks I am in.
I'd avoid McDs...too expensive for what you get and low income people can't afford to eat it anymore. They would have to mix the beef and chicken with paste and wood to cut costs.
My problem with starbucks is they are weighing their future growth heavily on China which is politically very risky and their economy sucks.
Chinese people are smart and frugal...they won't pay $5-6 for coffee.
Kevin O'Leary refuses to buy coffee at Starbucks, JJ Bean, says waste of money and huge markup. Costs Starbucks 15 cents to sell you a medium dark roast...LMAO
