I tried gun drilling on a vmc once and I'll never go back. On a gun drilling machine its suitable with guides and higher rpm but i had a difficult time without support for the drill. The holes took upwards of 15 minutes EACH! Buying some Walter 30-50D drills for the next hydraulic housing. They're considerably more expensive, but the time savings alone will more than pay for the drills
