When I was a child in the 80s and when we used to come to Delhi, many times my parents used to choose Hotel Ambassador for stay. One of the biggest reasons for doing so used to be the Dasaprakash restaurant. Parents used to love the food especially the grape juice they used to serve. Then one day, the ghost of a murdered IAS officer who was known to haunt the hotel, entered our locked room and spoke with me for some time. He wasn't scary, just did normal conversation. Turned out the room we were staying in was the same room where his wife had killed him. Parents immediately checked out and we never went back to Hotel Ambassador.

Whenever its a promotion of a restaurant the food served will look at its best and the person promoting it will never say that the food is not tasty. 😅
Visited Dasaprakash Hauz Khas for lunch…. We were utterly disappointed because we didn’t get coconut chutney… we asked the manager about it… he apologised saying that they have run out of coconuts today so coconut chutney cannot be made available 🤔

This hotel was a star grade hotel in 80s in karnataka. It had a chain of hotels. Now only very few hotel exist.However the food is good.
