To answer the question in the description, I've moved six times. When I was two weeks old, my family moved from Mississippi to Texas, where my parents grew up. When I was four we moved to Alaska, and four years later we moved to Germany. After four years we moved again, but this time it was like, two towns over. Same school district and everything. After three and a half years of living in that house, we moved up to the UK, where we stayed for three and a half years before moving all the way back to Texas.
Her: "I know tons of people are afraid of the ocean, so I wouldn't blame you if you don't get it." Me: *(actually loves the ocean)* "No, no. I absolutely get it." This was really sweet. Seeing friends again after time apart is always great. Thanks for the audio, Seaglass.
Hi Seaglass! I've been away from RUclips for a while, and am currently in the process of (slowly) catching up on all of my subscriptions, but I wanted to say that I'm very glad to see you've returned! I know you were dealing with a lot of difficult stuff for a while, including your depersonalization-derealization disorder, so I'm really glad that you took a break for a while. Hopefully you've been doing better. I see you've also been uploading a letsplay, and I wanted to say that I'm happy you're showing your favorite game, even if it doesn't get too many views!
These kinds of audios always hit home, although I've never moved before. I can feel and imagine the pain and joy of leaving your best friend and reuniting a few years later. Loved how the relationship between the listener and character goes all the way back to kindergarten. Made this audio feel more real and natural with things for both roles to reminiscence about, the vibe of this audio is also more positive and joyful since they are reuniting after all this time. Not to mention, the character's dialogue about high school is actually true in a way.
As someone who has never stayed more than 3 years with the same group of friends due to constantly moving, this audio hits really hard. Girl in the thumbnail even looks like someone I used to know. Thing is most of the time you never end up meeting again, at least from my experience, but when I have met childhood friends it’s always an absolute delight. There’s nothing that makes me feel more comfortable with a person than history with them, even if it’s not recent.
This is such an adorable story. I really like the bittersweet sadness of trying to think everyone in high school missed you, but deep down you kinda know better than that. But even if one could only make an impact on a few people, that can be quite the impact. It was neat to hear a story spanning so long of people's lives, all the way back from kindergarten. Knowing each other for that long, parting ways, and coming back together really does feel like they're meant to be friends (or more) for life. It's nice to see someone you liked (in any way) again after being away for so long and maybe thinking you lost them. I moved a few times. Twice across the US, so about 3,000 miles. If you count college, about a hundred miles, and once more after for about 25 miles.
I was alway super guilty of falling for my best friends lol definitely can go super south or be the best thing ever.. Cute story btw. Im a sucker for these like fate intervening brining two people together stories... ❤
