We have a beloved hand pump by our sink but it just stopped pumping soap. We’re all bummed. It’s been through 2 house fires and a flood. It’s one of three things we have left from the past. We don’t want a new pump on the top of the bottle. We want to fix it but don’t know how. We’ve tried many methods to prime it but nothing works. We noticed bubbles coming up from between the outer cap and the piece that goes through the cap. If anyone has any ideas we’d all greatly appreciate it. That’s the only thing we have to remember granny for. She bought it for us just before we lost her. We used to think about her everything we washed our hands and used that soap dispenser. It’s the little things that matter.
don't know if you are still curious about this. I think air can only come in through the closure because the ball is a one-side valve. If it keeps pumping out the liquid from the sealed bottle, how does it manages the possible negative pressure(vacuum) in the bottle? If there is a hole, the liquid may leak during transportation.
@@supahcomix Hi, thanks for your reply but maybe I didn't explain it well enough. When the pump taking out the liquid, inside of the bottle will become a vacuum because the bottle is fully sealed. That will eventually make the pump hard to take out the liquid or the bottle will be squashed. I am curious about how they resolve this issue.
I loss the small ball on my foaming bottle 😞 when I clean it. What is the remedy on it so I can use again my foaming bottle??. I thought I just put it back on opposite but when I watch my video I realize i los the ball
In the spirit of scientific experiment, try it and see, then report back! My guess is that, if the spout is submerged in a liquid, the liquid would be drawn into the pump when it it pressed, but when released, it would be dispensed again.
it is really hard to understand what you are saying, maybe you need better device for recording your voice, your phone can do a better job than what it is now!

Can we use this type of pump for oil dispensers? As my doubt is if outside air is going inside the bottle that will oxidize the oil inside the bottle and oil will spoil.

the hole at the bottom of the tube is enough of a vacuum if it's covered

I searched out another pump named airless pump. The bottom of the bottle is now a piston while the lid is probably the same
