this is a fine line to cut the difference between focusing in the songwriting and music itself vs. being focused on the business. You'll need at least 2 separate teams to focus on certain tasks & leave the music for the artists & the other headaches for a separate team to nut out individual specific tasks.
Thank you for that context on why labels stopped releasing acapellas and instrumentals. I’ve always thought it was a dope idea so I make sure I get a mastered version of all versions
Great info. I make music for tv and having multiple versions is key to more placements. I also work in group fitness and the amount of remixes are crazy. Many ways to stretch one song and make more money.
Our company is doing this as we speak.. we currently have 9 versions of our single FOREVER (by Vince & The Valholla Empire + ADN Lewis) - we’re working on a total of 40 versions.
In the past I would release the Main version and a couple remixes. But ever since Spotify 1K stream threshold I've been torn about releasing multiple version any thoughts on this are welcome.
ALoha CAsey, interesting multiple operation.🤙 imagine that I have 5 tracks produced by me, as you say for each track to have 4-5 alternative versions? to be 100% owner of? or do I go halves with whoever created the alternative versions? ✌Ps Could you make other specific ones of this type of video? especially for those like me who are in the start-up phase they can be really helpful. what do you think about it? thanks for your replay 😃

Hi
How and how much can i sell a song to emerging artists or music executives ?

You've got to remember there is more to streaming than Spotify alone.

It's your choice whom you split the percentages with. These are just options to expand your catalog which ultimately expands your money supply.
